I adore Grind for the combat challenge and more roleplay reward of creative token use. I'd gladly take cheaper and more grind tickets overall vs including any treasure. Hopefully we'll see more Grind at other cons or even virtual for regular folks. There's clearly a demand for it.
We're all the kind of people who enjoy the game on a "meta" level. We like talking about the game year-round. We buy tokens. We enjoy crafting. We get together during the off-season if we can. We are a very skewed demographic that way. -Raven

Would you play Grind at the current price if there were no (or only 3) treasure pulls?

If there's no other way for me to play than i'd grumble at price but i'd still pay it. I enjoy Grind that much, Grind before 2020 was a big way for me to feel like i was getting value out of keeping a deeper token collection, felt rewarded for keeping and using the odd stuff i didn't run on my main builds in regular dungeon.

This is why Gind should go back to the way it was originally designed, one treasure draw and a unique token to assist in the cons adventure. Offering treasure pulls leads to selling out fast.

I have never done True Grind before, but this is my two cents. Regardless of the treasure for completing the dungeon or adventure, I believe it is the experience or excitement of competing or participating in a combat monster battle royale which is the reward itself. Can’t wait to be jealous of hearing the great stories of victories and defeats from adventurers and not what treasures they got. I agree with Potter, treasure is not the driving factor here.

I believe adding treasure and charging more for the tickets makes grind more profitable for TD.

Would I play grind at the current price with no loot? Yes. Would I do it more than once? I hope not.

Maybe having the current price with no loot is the correct price point if you'd do it just once. That would free up tickets for others that want to play. I'm guessing TD isn't limiting the treasure pulls out of worry that it wouldn't sell out without them.

IMO having treasure at a flat rate of 20 is fine for Grind. I believe that in order to get more grind slots, we need additional, experienced DM's that can make this type of event fun. I know they are hard to come by but that is what makes Grind so exciting--the storyline, commentary, and shenanigans' that are put forth make it memorable. The memories last forever.

It is a lot of work for the DMs' and takes a lot of time in preparation as well as con time. Kudo's to the DMs' for providing us the opportunities that they do. I gave salsa to our hosts last year and plan to again this year.

Easy solution is make grind a special event at gamehole con which would limit anyone to a total of two tickets.

While that would be an "easy" solution, it certainly isn't the best.

Many runs only want all 10 tickets, grind more than any other to be sure.

Making it a GHC special event would also reduce the value of VIG to those that are into other special events, because now they would have even fewer options.

If a full grind run of 10 tickets was a "special event" that MIGHT work, though also might still not be ideal.

Limiting an individual account to only having tickets to two (or one) grind events would be a good first step in my opinion. This limit could be removed the day tickets go live for "Standard Registration" (their title) badgeholders.

Now, I don't do anything computer related, so I have no idea how easy or even feasible this idea is, but if it is, this is my suggestion.
