TOPIC: FULL - V25 Sun Sep 22 7:00pm CDT Epic Weird

Sounds good, I'm out of town for vacation at the moment. When I get home next week I'll look through and try to optimize my available builds, and post them. I'm fine to play whatever looks good, think I would struggle with hit on melee classes right now since mostly focused on live builds to start. Will definitely look to improve whatever build between now and then as well, looks like I'm locked in as a druid for my other VTD run.

If my Bard build looks decent I could run that as well, only have Lute of Free Fury right now, but could probably scrounge up the resources to upgrade to the legendary before then.

I went ahead and got a Widseth's Legendary Lute. Figure it might be better for me to run Bard, at least I can fulfill the max buff role. If that works so everyone can lock down classes, and I can focus on improving gear for Bard between now and then.

As my secondary role should I focus more on improving my heals or damage? Let me know what you think, and I'll work up a gear list to post.

Cool, my brain is mostly in GenCon mode right now but I've updated the roster to list you as Bard and James as Druid.

IMHO the +heal stat as a Bard is not worth putting effort into, because you'll cast Soothe Wounds a small number of times at most (and also, common misunderstanding, each +1 heal doesn't mean +1 to *everybody*, it means +1 to *one* person of your choice). After bardsong and monster lore (which for this run will probably be Weird lore, btw) a Bard's secondary role is whatever mode of combat appeals to you -- with the understanding that it's icing on the cake.

Just wanted to link my current build, going to run as a troubadour subclass, not sure if I need to do anything ahead of time in order to do it. I have Skulls of Cavadar. Ideally, I will be able to cast the additional +2/+2 during four combats, though I will need to borrow a Carter's Tome if someone can provide.

Cool! I've never personally played a sub-class in VTD, but I know it's possible; just make sure you have the token ready to show on camera during coaching, and then I think there's an option to select in the software at that time.

I can use Restore Spell to give you an extra cast of Enhance Bardsong (or two, if we get five combats), just remind me during the run.

Silver Nugget is no problem; I'm pretty sure this party will have at least 25 of those.

So, it looks like someone has mistakenly selected Druid already.

Awesome Fred, if you are good with it I will add those items to my build using the Hireling Brewmaster. Should allow us to have +6/+6 to most or possibly all combats.
