It doesn't. It comes from the Buffalo Trace Distillery in Kentucky. The problem is that it is only marketed overseas. So if I get one it is going to take a many thousands of miles round trip to go about 200 miles from where it's made.
You can't fix stupid but you can TPK it.

I once ordered a RPG book from a shop in the US that was printed in china, shipped to the states, then shipped to Austria, then back to the US then to Australia via New Zealand.

there are some great tales about products and their journeys

Appears to be available in duty free shops in airports domestically.

Yep, I did post it is available in Duty Free shops. Unfortunately it is not at the one in my town or at any Airport I will be getting to in the near future.

Kolixela, if you are sure it is the Gold labeled, Gold wax sealed, Straight From The Barrel variety I'll take 2 at that price! PLUS the bonus I indicated earlier in addition to a profound Thank You.

EDIT: I re-read your post. I see you are keeping a stock for yourself so One bottle will be just fine :-)

Remember I live in the Bluegrass State and we have several good local stores that have world class selections of Bourbon and do not gouge on prices. For Bourbon Lovers Doc Crows an upscale BBQ and Bourbon place 2 blocks from my office has over 100 Bourbons available.

I would take the same. Few bottles if you can.
We are close to each other so I could drive down and meet to get it

:( After 2 days going to all liquor stores in town (with an example in hand) and speaking to the owner of my favorite store (there I found the 5)they have no idea how they got them as they are only available internationally. Owner said if he had stocked them when they came in he would have kept them himself. Still I have one for the original poster at cost and 3 and 3/4s in my liquor cabinet. It is a lot better than even the small batch private reserve I usually drink so only Mr Smith wins. However I have a question are there any other Bourbons you forum members would like to try?
