Yeah same for me, Loki could pass it. It will really depend on how it the journey goes and most importantly for me how it ends. WV's ending was the disappointingly part for me. They did a very non-traditional superhero story and ended it like a superhero movie. Loki feels like it might be similar to Quantum Leap, bouncing around time. We shall see.

Loki might have an advantage in that it doesn't have to wrap the whole show up at the end, since they've already confirmed there will be a Season 2. I agree the Wanda vs. Agatha and the battle vs. Sword played out more like a standard Superhero movie (which was still enjoyable to me), but I really liked how the Vision vs. Vision battle was resolved via a logic puzzle, and that the ending of the show (post Agatha battle) played out very differently, with the entire fake town disappearing, including the kids (for now at least) and finally Vision (again, for now at least).

I'm very curious if Loki will have any involvement at all in the new Thor movie, or if his story is completely separate from Thor for now. It sounds like they've got enough going on in Love and Thunder that they'll be OK if Loki isn't in that one.

I should mention that Owen Wilson is really impressive as Mobius M. Mobius. He's always struck me as a one-note actor, basically playing the same role in every movie, but he's knocking this role out of the park so far. When I see Mobius, I don't automatically think "That's Owen Wilson", which is a good thing. He's really inhabiting the character, playing it a bit lower key than normal.

Enjoying it so far... I'm interested to see where it goes.

For some reason the TVA seems off to me. Not within the context of the show--more that it doesn't feel right within the MCU.

Good it will have to bypass Wandavision but it is doing a great job of just that.

jedibcg wrote: The killer Loki might not be a variant from mcu... they might be from a different universe. I use they in particular because Loki's sex is defined as fluid on their TVA profile. So killer Loki could be Lady Loki....or there could be multiple Loki's...that is my bet. What better way to stick to the TVA than to go get multiple Loki's and turn them into variants to take out the TVA.

Well seems like I was kind of right on both of these, but also kind of wrong. Multiple Loki Variants have existed and we do have a Lady Loki.

Great episode, lots happening, I look forward to the next four episodes. I wonder if this leads directly into Dr. Strange 2, maybe this is what causes the Multiverse Madness. I think this might grab the crown from WandaVision for me of favorite Disney+ Marvel series (so far).

For me I don’t care if this is the best series or the second best series. I am just happy to have a series good enough that people are debating if it is the best.

Great point! I'm really happy Marvel has carried over their excellence in movies to Disney+.

I read a spoiler about the adversaries identity from foreign language credits, but probably shouldn't post it since it was an inadvertant spoiler (you'd think they'd be more careful though with all the credits).

....as long as I don't see "Let's talk Lori" it's all good.....

The Martin family has enjoyed these Disney+ series, and Avery was very anxiously awaiting Loki. I find them all entertaining. (the family AND the shows)

Gotta say I'm not loving it so far, but I'm holding out hope for the inevitable Loki double cross turn around. It's still way to soon to judge a series named Loki.
