What happened to the thread for this? Can't find it.

In any case, I was able to get a room at the JW Marriott, even though with my time all downtown rooms would likely have been all reserved by then in a normal year. I guess with the attendance limits and so many people and companies passing this year there more supply than I expected.

And GenCon has released a list of exhibitors, vendors, artists, writers, etc., who will be at GenCon 2021 this fall (technically it is still summer, but I always consider September to be fall).

I don't normally, but this year I am going to buy at least one book and one piece of art to support the writers/artists who are going to be there.

I know some big names won’t be there, but I was psyched to see many companies I like still going to be there: AEG, Renegade, Thunderworks, etc.

Looking forward to this. It will have been three years since my last GC.

Since the ICC is currently planning on closing overnight for cleaning, I’ve been hearing from people about opportunities to play in the hotels.

They should release it a week earlier. So people can see what events are going to be running, and give everyone one last chance to roll over 2020 badges should events they want to participate in not happening this year.

You are right. Some people might want to see the possible events before deciding on the rollover.

I hope they make an exception for the main lobby. Every year, I’ve made it a point to spend one late night building on cardhalla until the wee hours of the morning.

It is my hope that as vaccinations increase and the situation continues to improve, ICC/GC/state & Local health officials can agree to relax some of the restrictions currently in place.

Indiana is is at 37% of the state's population fully vaccinated and 42% with one shot. Our progress has dropped offed, but the state may still decide to allow larger, indoor events to lessen their health protocols. I'd still like to see them require masks for several reasons. First, it is easier to enforce than asking for proof of vaccinations. Second, there will be people travelling from all over the US and each state has different levels of vaccine acceptance. And lastly, I think it is just the easiest way to give the most attendees peace of mind.
