TOPIC: Value of an Arcane Item

Re: Value of an Arcane Item 13 years 8 months ago #13
I dont think anyone could afford over 85000. Even the big collectors out there. They would still have to come up with the ingredients and that will cost gold too! and deplete the more vaulable stuff out of the collection including the fabled *wish* needed! I dont know what the other guys had to give up, but it was expensive. just the wish alone.

i know i paid 70k last year, as did gary. then another 40k as part of ingredients is added. i remember 3 of us in it at 65k and 4 of us at roughly 55k. if their token purchase was comparable to last year, and they are dedicated, the price should exceed 85k. that would make 2 folks right there and every indication is token buying did exceed last year. so......it goes without saying that there are some "unknown" players on the field.
I'm waiting to see the looks of chagrin on the faces of the morons who wait until the last year thinking prices will have gone down as GP bled out. People should run the calc sometimes of how much gold gets used in the auction each year compared to how much goes out in each year's set. It's idiocy.

so tell us great and wise henwy, how much will they go for this year? 2011? 2012? and assuming the world doesn't end, 2013?
Best you could hope for is to use the wish for 25 token draws and get lucky.

Do all arcane recepies require a wish ring to make?

If it did require a wish ring, I would think that that would limit the number of people who woudl be willing to bid on it, since wish rings are very very rare.
