TOPIC: Another 4C in 2011?

Still think there needs to be big item used with all the ingredients made to date, maybe a 5c item..... :O

<br />Having 25 monster trophies for a trade item does seem really steep. That probably puts it above Aragonite it terms of difficulty to acquire.<br />

<br /><br /><br />Maybe. But there is an AWFUL LOT of Stirge Spittle, Mind Flayer Ooze, and Outsider Feather floating about. And I imagine that soon enough, the 2010 ingredients will be quite abundant too.

I will take clothing for the Planks, BUT it is my intention to have a special trade item for clothing.  So if you decide to trade all your clothing items in on Planks, I do not want to hear about it when I do manage to get a token made for clothing...<br /><br />Whether or not I can make the tokens I want to for trade items depends greatly on how many other tokens we want to make, we can not make them all and some have to be pushed out for space on the "die" so to speak.<br /><br />Rigth now, I have asked for items for projectiles, liquids, and clothing and I am considering one for old monster trophies.<br /><br />I doubt there will be a trade token for lore.  We might have a program where you get some special extra clue for sending in x number of unwanted lore tokens, but jeff feels he made it clear the lore tokens would not have value and creating value by having a trade item would go against that intent.  <br /><br />Dave

I'm of mixed minds on this.<br /><br />We gave up 10% of our "valuable" tokens for Lore. Now granted, I enjoyed the Lore Program, but now I'm being told I have a big pile tokens with no value whatsoever. That kind of sucks.<br /><br />If Lore tokens were to continue in the future, I'd fight TPTB vigorously to give them at least some value after the year they were issued. But since it seems like they were a one time deal (as tokens), I suppose I can live with it—though I'd still like to be able to exchange them for something useful.

I am only repeating/sharing what Jeff said to me.  He felt he made it clear, but perhapse not clear enough that the lore tokens would not have value.  <br /><br />When I asked about a trade in item, he did not want to set one up for that reason.  So the compromise I proposed was to have some number be turned in for special clues in the lore program, assuming collectors want to keep a full set but get rid of extras.  I do not know where that will go, but we will see what comes of it.<br />If you have other ideas, please share them.<br /><br />I think that is why if we do the lore program next year, it will be slips of paper not a replacement token.  I guess I will have to find something else to use the copper backs for...<br /><br />Dave<br /><br />

I agree it is disappointing that the Lore Tokens have no further value; it makes me somewhat happy that they are not coming back.  The Lore was interesting, but was far too time consuming for me.  Also, I have three complete sets and dozens of extras of a token I have little use for in the first place.<br /><br />As for the copper backs, you could use them for combo tokens...

Gear would seem the most reasonable. Or, since the Gear to Darkwood Plank uses the "unit" concept, make Lore Tokens equal a fractional unit. Like 2 Lore = 1 Gear Unit.

Good catch, that makes total sense! For some reason I was thinking the Alchemist's Parchment was created solely from Rares and didn't want to infringe in that area, but you're absoluely right.
