Thes Hunter wrote: @persolo - Maybe I don't understand, but if you were a student, you should have been able to get your loans deferred during the summer between semesters. I would sometimes have to do some leg work to prove that I was enrolled in the fall, but unless I had just finished a degree, or hadn't gotten my class schedule nailed down yet, I never had to pay during the summer. But then again, maybe I'm not understanding 'just when student loans start to hit'.

I'm a bit of a 'professional' student, so I'm a bit of an expert on student loans. (As an aside... do not take private student loans unless you have NO and I mean NO other choice. They can basically write whatever rules they want, and bend you over and give you a good buggering while these loans remain protected from bankruptcy. For example, I'm forced to make payments on my private loans while I'm still in school because the terms of my private loans put very restrictive amounts of in school deferments I could get.)

It's quite a long and boring story regarding the timing of when loans would release, even summer loans, bills to survive, and that magical time for mine at least always being at the end of summer session (late July or Early August) and when they would come in for the fall semester (typically, the third week of August). Wasn't too smart on most of them, but I DO have the degree now. Now to find a job in my major (Tourism, Conventions, Event Management). Great major, but bad economy still. Not QUITE pessimistic yet.

(See how I said that, in print? Now Fate can backhand me by never giving me a Golden Ticket again, and start giving you your rightful share, Henwy.)

From your fingertips to Lady Chance's eyes.

Actually, that just makes it sound like you're going to three-stooges her.

I have a woodie that Dave autographed for me that I've kept along with the rest of my purps. I don't even remember what token it is now but it's still tucked away with all of my purp weapons. I also have a Girdle of HGS that Jeff signed. Someone traded it to me as a marquee with the autograph and all.

Maybe we should have something like Hackmaster where if you can get famous signatures on your player's handbook, you get bonuses. Get directors to sign your tokens.

Steve Jackson Games does it with their T-Shirts, why not. Though, my question then would be..what would the bonus to Wil's Dragonheart be, if it were signed by Wil? ;-)

Xavon: I'm pretty curious what the statistical certainty is. :-)

Where were you sitting at at the auction? I know I had a small black poker chip case. It holds 300 tokens which is a decent number, keeps it from being too heavy. At the time I bought it, I think the case was between 25 and 30 dollars if that much.

Near the front, on the left. I think...second row? There were several DDA member to my right, the person whom I do not know a name for (yet) on my left, and Raven on their left. Can't remember what the case looked like, but remember thinking it was a neat idea. :-)

I was the person seated to your left as Raven was next to me. My poker chip case is black aluminum and it's designed to hold 300 poker chips.

Definitely not a big token buyer, but still dreaming of getting a GT someday.

Actually, a GT would be the second most desired token I could get.

I believe I am the only person with just such a token! (unless Wil signed the one I gave him!)

Another way to tell..you ponder getting a Poker Chip case to hold your tokens, and realize that if the price of said case if $5, "That's half the cost of another pack of tokens!!" ;-)
