Added the "gear" classification to 50 GP Gold Compass . This is not errata, it's just correcting something I forgot to add when the 2016 tokens were initially input.
Have you looked it up in the TDb ?

FYI, I'll be leaving for Indy this evening. I generally don't check the forums (and by extension, PMs) during Gen Con. You're more than welcome to post questions/corrections during Gen Con, but don't be surprised if I don't respond until next week.

Both of you travel safe! Candace and I will be leaving tomorrow around 1:30pm, will be in Indy by 6:30pm! Looking forward to it all. Not looking forward to the 3 checked bags and 4 carry-on one of which will be 35-40lbs of tokens.

I have three wooden tokens with a spider on the back, they are printed with red ink.

The text on the token says:
Potion
---------
Potion of
Darkvision

Is this the same as "Potion Darkvision" - or is "Potion of Darkvision" something diffferent?

Just noticed that Staff of Focus does not have the Weapon classification

Good question Matt. As far as I know there were only two printings of the rare version, one from the 2005b series and the other was 2006. Both of these I believe have the printing as you describe with the word "Potion" and then "Potion of Darkvision". So not sure what Token is shown on the Tokendb.

Does Mad Evoker's Charm really, truly double the base damage of spells, or does it add to the damage pool a value equal to the base damage of a spell?

Does a MeC powered Burning Hands against, say, 10 cultists deal 18 to each? Or 9 to each with 9 additional points to spread around.

Well, here's what the TdB says:

tokendb.com/token/mad-evokers-charm/

While I am not TPTB nor Druegar, as a high-level wizard and as an AC, my interpretation would be that the MEC does indeed double the damage dealt, so it would do 18 points to each cultist. That would be my ruling unless I heard differently.

Great question!
It's been added to my list of things to ask Jeff.

I certainly hope you are right - AOE damage is one feather in the Wizard's cap - since the other spell boosters add a pool, it would be nice if one could at least get an additoinal 9/15/20 on each target for the various wizard AOE spells. At the difficulty levels where MeC is likely to show up monsters seem to have 200-600 HP.
