That player is contributing a +1 to party initiative, but there is no individual player initiative in TD because it's always rolled for the group as a whole. Maybe I'm just splitting hairs, but read on.

Here's my concern: I don't want folks to think they get an individual initiative bonus. I'm sure the veterans know this, but new players may not and this could confuse them.

Coaches, help me out here. Do you want/need an individual player's contribution to party initiative if the total initiative bonus is already calculated for you on the party card view?

Of course it would have been helpful to have this discussion when James and I were discussing this before changes were made rather than after the release.

It will stay as is. If you and the other coaches want to come up with a concessus of what you all want, we can revisit this later in the spring.

When do you plan to put the 2018 Volunteer tokens in? If past form holds, those on the GT runs will have them during GenCon.

They should already be there from the previous version. I put them in as part of the 2018 token set. If I missed any please let me know and I will catch it on the next rev.

I hate it when that happens! It was there, and somehow, it is not in the list. Sorry about that. First item for the next rev. The completion tokens are in there. It was in a test version about a month ago, but somehow, it got removed. Where were you at 2:00 last Monday? How did you know it was missing? Hmmmm....

BTW: Isn't the Charm the volunteer token starting at Gencon? Right now it should be the Ioun Stone Tanzanite Cube, correct?

Correct. It won't be available to anyone until the GT run Wednesday night. At least if the GT loot bag follows past practice. So no more than 40 people will have it then. It wont be widely available until after GenCon is wrapping up.

If you want to say that those 40 people can just tell the coach to fix their party card entry, thats understandable.


I don't have a GT this year, so it doesn't effect me. Except maybe as a coach.

For sure. I apologize for not catching it earlier.

Just checking. I was concerned that volunteers from Pax got them.

I am sure I will need another rev before Origins. There is a lot of new code in this rev,and I’m sure something will need to change. So the Onyx Charms will be there before Gencon

Glad it's working better for you now! It was a weird combination of OS, libraries and setup that caused the issue.

Version 5.2 is now available in IOS and Android. The changes include the following:

- Add the 4th Tooth of Cavadar
- Corrected the set bonus for the Defender set
- Added character and party initiative to the statistics view and Party Card view
- Corrected a problem with devices set with Large Text and the table view on the character build view
- Added the 2018 effects for variable tokens (Amulet of Wonder, Eldritch Runestone, etc.)
- Added a feature to remove items made invalid by changes to other slots (i.e. Lenses of Divine Sight, when removing Charm of Enlightenment)
- Corrected a problem when a Monk or Ranger equips 2 thrown weapons, and the strength bonus was added twice.
- Corrected a problem where the Masterwork Tool Kit was showing up twice.
- Improved the SQL robustness on Android to correct some crash issues.

I plan for another release before Origins, likely May, unless a functional problem turns up.

The Onyx Charm and Greater Onyx Charm will be added to that release.

Druegar: If between you, Laz, Harlax and James, can agree on how you want the Initiative bonus to appear on the player screen, I will be happy to update it, or remove it if that is the preferred option. Feel free to discuss that on this thread or elsewhere, depending on what is easier. The main purpose of the app is to help coaches, so whatever makes your life easier is how it will go.
