For the GT2018 Medallion Slot can you please add Figurine of Power: Cat as an option?

Does the medallion allow a third figurine for those with the charisma, ie Paladin?

My understanding is that the 2018 Medallion acts as an 'any item that does not effect the party card' slot. It does not allow the player to break other game rules, like the number of Figurines of Power. You also still cannot use the same token twice. In order to wear the Lenses of Divine Sight, you still need 20 Wisdom (until after Pax South, when you cannot use them in the slot anyway)

I didn't add the Figurines because you can equip them in the Special slots, at least as many as your Charisma allows.

The only exception to this is using the slot with Medallion of Nobility and Necklace of Nobility, which provide +2 points of resistance to all damage types, except Push damage.

That's not my understanding. My understanding was that the Medallion was an extra slot. Otherwise there wouldn't be anything to put in it. Any of the Tokens you have listed would be breaking a rule. I couldn't equip a helmet as my standard item and then the Crown of Expertise, or equip Charm Bracelets and then Gloves of Deflection. It has to be an extra slot. Unless I'm totally missing something here. And if I'm right I should be able to equip a third Figurine if my Charisma allows two.

Restrictions IIRC are not affecting the party card and no weapon. Figure is fair game as long as it does not affect anything on the party card.

As I said, it is an extra slot that can contain any type of item, you are able to use. I agree, you can equip a standard helm and a Crown of Expertise. You can equip Charm Bracelets in the normal wrist slot and Bracers of Elementalbane (Bracers of Defelection give +2 to AC vs Missile which is on the party card). The point being that you can equip 2 items that normally are limited to one slot.

The medallion does not allow you to bypass other rules. Lenses of Divine Sight still needs a 20 wisdom. Amulet of Guarding is still only available to Paladins. Likewise, you are still limited to 2 Figurines with a 16 Charisma.

For what it is worth, Figurines are available in the 2018 Medallion slot, but will not show up, if you already have 2 equipped in the Special slots.

Both Badge of Nobility and Medallion of Nobility are slotless. MoN is not even equippable on your character, but either BoN or MoN can be used as "proof" of 6th-levelness.

Per Jeff's post here are the rules:


The rules:

1) Only a token that does not affect anything on the party card can be equipped for free in the medallion. That means anything that would effect things like saves or to-hits cannot be put into the medallion.

2) Also, no slot-expanding tokens maybe placed in the medallion. This was allowed at Gen Con due to a mis-communication, but it is not allowed henceforth. It is much too powerful if this is allowed.

3) After Origins, 2019, the necklaces get a different power. Anyone inserting a Medallion of Nobility or a Badge of Nobility will gain a damage reduction of 2 pts to all damage types except Eldritch. The "free" slot power is gone -- except for a few good sliders. About 5 players slid a natural 20 on the challenge, so they may select either the old power or the damage reduction power mentioned above for the remainder of forever.

Based on these rules if I have a character with 16+ Charisma I should be able to slot a third Figurine as long as it doesn't effect the party card. The Figurine itself is not a slot expanding Token.

Sorry - bit of a tangent, any idea when the ios and web based character generators will be updated to include the new tokens for 2019? Thanks!

I hope they are updated before pax south, I have a few onyx tokens that I want to use there.

I asked about a month ago and was told that it wouldn’t happen until after Origins

I guess it’s not a big deal. the only things effected on my build will be range damage and treasure pulls
