TOPIC: True Dungeon Character Generators (App)

When will the Generator be updates to reflect the new Eldritch Set bonus’s? For instance we should only need two items to get level 5 but the program requires three items. Thanks

The Eldritch Set Bonus changes are one of the reasons I need to hold off on the next release. I have the 2019 tokens built into the next update, but have a few more items to add. The problem is that the errata changes for the Cloak of Shadowskin, Lenses of Divine Sight, Eldritch Set Bonuses and Wand, don't take effect until Origins next year. PAX South will still be operating under the 2018 effects for those items. Adding an app with the wrong effects will create too much confusion.

The plan is to introduce the next version shortly after PAX South. I cannot speak to the web based character generator. Acherin does the web based generator. I suspect he is planning the same, but I haven't talked to him about it.

For what it is worth, the update to the Token Transmuter will occur Saturday or Monday. It is all set to release, but I'm waiting until the 2017 transmutes are no longer valid. (except for Legendary)

I've been using Amorgen's excel sheet to plan next year's builds.

He has two releases at the moment - one for official use leading up to Origins and a beta for 2019.

I see you've added the Figurines to the 2018 GT Medallion for the Barbarian class. Can you add them to the other classes as well?

Also, it would be nice if this thread was pinned like the TDcharactercreator.com and Amorgen's threads are. In fact, it might make sense to have a pinned Character Creator section with Amorgen's, TDcharactercreator.com, mobile creator and the transmuter threads together. Just a thought.

The True Dungeon Character Generator version 6.0 has been released on IOS and Android. It includes the following changes:

1. Add 2019 Token set
2. Add 2019 Transmutes
3. Modifications for new 2019 token features
4. Modifications for the errata changes (Eldritch set bonuses, Cloak of Shadowskin, Lenses of Divine Sight)

I was going to include some of the 'it would be nice' items, but I am busy on two priority projects. I may get to some of them later this spring, when I add the new abilities for the variable tokens (AoW, ER, Special).

There is a problem with the Dark Disciple's Shirt in the app. It provides the Psychic Protection, but does not allow the Teeth of Cavadar to be equipped. It will be corrected when the next version comes out in a few months.

I have another correction for the list. At present the damage bonus for Eldritch items is only applied to Spell Damage. It was brought to my attention that that damage bonus should be applied to melee and missile attacks also. Remember that the bonus is +1 damage for each Eldritch item past the first.

This correction will also be made on the next rev, probably in a few months. Sorry for the confusion.

2 minor bugs.

The 2019 uncommon - Lenses of the Hunter shows the wrong description (+1 to hit instead of +1 damage). The +1 damage appears to be correctly added to the Miss Stats summary page, though.

The 2019 common - Totem Amulet is misspelled. In the App its spelled Totum Amulet.
