TOPIC: True Dungeon Character Generators (App)

I have been thinking about the Ring of the Hallowed over that last few days, and I need to provide some clarification. First is the token database files used in the character generator apps. (not to be confused with Druegar's TokenDB.com which is way cool!) There are 40 files that make up the database used by the app. Generation of the files is tedious and needs to be consistent across the files or chaos ensues. Any time I need to rebuild those files, a significant amount of testing needs to be performed to make sure they all match, across all classes. Modifying an existing token can be done easily on one or two files, but adding new tokens requires a rebuild.

In general, I try and limit additions to the new token set provided with the late December revision. This same revision includes major code modifications (like adding the party card). The special token features for AoW necessitated adding a bunch of entries, so it happened twice this year.

At present I have a new version that corrects the problem with the 2nd and 3rd Runestone slot, requiring at least Rare level runestones, and also allowing multiples of the same runestone. It also corrects the Draco-Lich Charm to specify Darkrift damage. I am still figuring on how to display the Golden Apple as AoW, but that version is in testing. If I add the new token, it may not be ready for Origins, due to the additional regression testing. That change may need to wait until Gencon.

I am hoping that 'new' completion tokens will not be the case for each gaming convention, but time will tell.

Anyway, if you don't see the new token at Origins, you will know why. Your request is not being ignored.

The latest updates are submitted. The Android version, 4.5, should be available for download within a few hours. The IOS version, 4.4, should be out in a few days. These include the following updates:

- 2nd and 3rd Runestone slots now require rare or ultra-rare runestones
- A character with a Runestone Fitting Base equipped may select the same runestone type for both runestone slots
- The Draco-Lich Charm bonus damage is now listed as Darkrift.
- The Golden Apple of Eris now shows up in the Amulet of Wonder slot as follows: 'Yes (GAoE)'

Any new completion tokens will not be listed in this version. They may show up before Gencon.

The IOS version has cleared Apple review and is available for update.

As a side note, it appears Google will start to review apps and updates in the future. Probably similar to what Apple does.

There may be time for one update before Gencon. The one item I am seeing is the addition of the Ring of the Hallowed. I will be adding the Party Card to the Android version next Fall, but the ring is the only change planned at the moment.

My question is whether any other problems came up either at TDC or Origins that I need to fix before Gencon.

The update is out and now includes Ring of the Hallowed. It is available on Android and IOS.

Found a possible minor error in the Android app. Can some double check with the android app to make sure it is there. And probably should check the iphone app too.

Make a druid and add a Ring of Heroism or Medallion of Heroism or Charm of Heroism. Do you see 30 HP or 32? I am getting 32 but it should be 30 according to the character card on the website.

Not exactly
Monks & rangers may duplicate any weapon they want when fighting in melee. The relic or above qualification only comes into play when discussing fulfilling a set's quota. Two UR (or lower) set weapons only count as one when fulfilling a set, but two relic or legendary set weapons count as two. E.g., two +2 Viper Strike Fangs count as one item toward the Viper Strike set bonus. However, two Asher’s +5 Viper Strike Fangs or two +3 Viper Strike Fangs count as two items toward the VS set's item requirements.

Yep. You are correct. Unfortunately, it is too late to change this before Gencon. I will correct this on the next rev. It's been there for multiple years. Good catch!

So druids get +2 HP for using the app

UPDATE: Change of plan. I will try and carve out some time today to get this change done, along with a correction for the Bracelets of the Cabal, and get it submitted to Google and Apple. We will see how long it takes them to approve them. Today is busy, but I will try.
