I remember Dennis made some great wishes and the ones mentioned are spot on I think.

What I could not recall due to conversations at the time in the room was what happened to the token. I was in the back 1/2 of the room and we were chatting about it getting snapped in half.

Dennis asking Jeff to keep it sounds right. And let's go with that. I think it was marked on too but that's not a big deal.

I'm a bit confused - if the Ro3W has a pentagon back, that confirms that it is a 2004 token, as I had thought and the TokenDB has confirmed. If it was a 2005 token it would have had a 2005 back - or maybe a '.COM" back like the 2005b URs.

The token year is correct. The year of the gifting and it was a Director level gift I think needs to be updated that's all.

Thank you for the memories. Raven is basically correct in how I used the wishes. The first wish was for peace for the Martins. The second wish concerned the construction of my dancing sword. The third wish was that the ring be returned to Jeff, never to leave him, as a reminder of the magic he has brought to so many people with True Dungeon. Originally the ring belonged to Jeff before it was given to me for the winning bid of the Schuyler Patch Memorial Run.

The greatest treasure was never the ring--it was the experience.

I JUST explained what the Ring was a few minutes ago to my wife, and then told her but in the end, it's the exact same thing you just said.

It's all about the True Dungeon experience, the community, the people you meet, the fun you have each year, the bonds you build with your fellow adventurers, and how amazingly welcoming everyone is to new players.

True Dungeon is the best thing ever!

Dennis, that was one of the most generous and inspirational things I've seen. Thanks so much for all that you've given the True Dungeon (and beyond) community! If you decide to come back for more True Dungeon runs, you'll have a spot with my group. :)

WHOO hoo. Where to start? Dennis so good to hear from you. I hope you Dani and the fam are well. Totally agree with the coolness that has been part of TD and it's family from day one. Hence I knew the ring needed a new home. Ring lore and the geeky goodness that is tokens is a big part of the game and I hope the inspiring tales of kindness and honesty continue.

P.s. Raven...check. Dennis...check. Gary...check. Hey anyone need an evil dragon dispatched?!?

P.s.s. Great token Trent. Just knowing all the fun you will have with the Ro3W and Team Token is reward enough.

Frequently !

The first years of tokens are notoriously difficult to date correctly. I added 2005 to the Ro3W in the TDb. Maybe I need to add a "who the hell knows" option to the year category... ;)
Have you looked it up in the TDb ?
Please post TDb corrections in this thread .

Sal Good Man. Dru, the TDb is awesome. The side goal of getting the Ro3W back in active hands was to dig up the lore and history. I think the rings were indeed made in 2004 but not given out until 2005. I was just thinking back to how crazy the print runs were for the old woodie tokens. .com backs and star backs and let's not forget 2005A and B - good times. Oh and Mike's fav Misprints!!! Anyway it was great chatting with Jenn and Lori and dusting off some of the old memories. Thanks for all the help here and for putting up with my riddle announcement.
