1. I think it is a pretty negative view to day things like "I hope DMs won't be a dick."

I don't think I've ever really encountered a "dick" DM in 17 years. Some are more or less strict with rules interpretation, but that's it. If you ever do encounter one, please ask for an AC.

FWIW, as a DM in that in that situation, I would report, "OK, the monster's SR is now 25%."

2. I couldn't agree with Edwin more. Knowing the monsters abilities definitely takes a LOT of the fun away for me. SR isn't a fun mechanic at all, I'll agree, but I don't want the monster's SR printed anywhere but the module. You can certainly keep casting spells and figure it out though, just watch the DM's d20 roll. This is one of the things I dislike about VTD. The AC is known to all. Its necessary for the game to flow, but still takes some mystery away.

I wish I could say the same. I've had DMs who took great pleasure in killing characters. I've had DMs who took the most ridiculous interpretation of a rule/mechanic as justification for their assholery. Fortunately, it's been years since that's happened.

Please review the latest beta version of the 2021 QTR and post your corrections, suggestions, and questions in this thread. This version (B6) should incorporate all the great quemments y'all gave prior to this posting, but if I missed something I said I fixed, please don't hesitate to remind me.

Please continue to ignore page/column breaks and recipes. Page/column breaks get finalized last and recipes are still up in the air.

2020 quick token reference does not agree.

It looks really weird the way it is, but I only care because of the inconsistency not because this impacts my life in any way.

I know the 2021 recipes are placeholders, not sure about the 2020 recipes, but if they are not:
The 2020 recipe for Benrow's Elder Drake Necklace disagrees with tokendb on the ultra rares needed.
