I would like to recommend an alternate recipe for Skull of Cavadar. Since we haven't have any word about uses for UR Psychic Enablers, and there has been some disenchantment regarding them (in particular the Semi-Lich Skull). Maybe either recipe that uses an UR Psychic Imbuer ( tokendb.com/Misc/psychic-imbue/ ) for a few less trade goods. OR a ruling about how they could interact with Skull of Cavadar.

The Fighter Relic/Legendary are high on both DS and DP

Rationale: Previous legendaries like Paladin require less on each by 40%

The Reaver recipe is very high and seems misleading

Rationale: Previously it was announced to take 5 rare completion and any ghost, now the ghost seems missing and several higher level trade tokens are added. Many have planned/added VTD runs to hit these initially stated requirements.

Would like to see the option for monster bits on more 4* items.

Rationale: Previous years allowed for any one bit to be used in most recipes. Currently only 1 enhanced allows for this.

As Wade mentioned, I and several others are under the assumption that the next story relic is starting this year (2020). If that is being delayed, clarification should be provided to help inform collecting and fleece transmuting decisions.

I suggest reducing the number of Alchemist Parchment for the Mage Medallion. Reasoning: By my calculations the cost of building Mage Medallion is significantly more costly to make than the other two class Relics in 2021. I realize that it really depends on what numbers you plug in as the values for the different trade goods, but it seems like AP has the largest numeric difference between the three compared to other goods, and AP tends to be at the top end of the Trade 1 tier in value.

I would suggest replacing either Psyferre's Spectacles in the Ashenne's or the Shield of the Scholar in the Druegar's Legendary tokens, as I believe that both of those will be very sought after.


I support this. Demand for the Charm of the Faerie will otherwise be very low.

The FoP recipes are GREATLY increased in cost. I am very upset to see this change to the officially stated recipe so many months after we've started gathering for them. I hope Jeff is willing to stick to his promised recipies.

Given the MASSIVE MASSIVE nerf to the 10 year old Mad Evoker's Charm I would hope to see a version of the transmute that gives a much larger value to the original printing of the token. The changes to the token destroyed the value of the token and have driven several players away from the game. At the minimum there could be a greater value given to the destroyed token to compensate players for this massive nerf.

General note: I like the emphasis on Philosopher's Stone this year, given the Rare neck items.

Points specific to the 4* (light blue) transmutes:
I like that the trade good requirements all seem very well tuned to what you could reasonably expect from the entry level PYP option (30 10-packs), with perhaps some support from 10 packs you get from runs and/or treasure pulls.

One thing I found curious is that none of the recipes for 4* transmutes involved 2020 monster trophies this year. So far, only 2 other 4* transmutes haven't allowed trophies to date, either as a substitute for or combination with GP: +3 Ammo of Alteration and Potion of Condensed Healing. The Potion seems a special case recipe. The Ammo seems like a very early transmute in the "new" system.

I can understand that "this is the way it's always done" isn't always a good rationale to do or not do something. That said, it seems like only 2 recipes this year (and one from last year) involve the 2020 trophies at all. It would be nice for those recipes to allow the option for the trophies to substitute for some or all of the GP requirement. This would give make the 2020 monster trophies a bit more desirable. Unless the intention is to have the Elfstone Shard be the primary driver trophies this year.

Edited to add: Monster trophy requirements are also often easier to fill than the GP reserve bar requirements at the level of play where the 4* tokens shine. They are rewards you get from playing the game (running dungeons), which puts them in the hands of a larger base.
