Think about Martin or Rothfuss life now as compared to when they were just getting started...they are so hugely popular that they have lots other business "things" going on. It leaves less time for writing. That said I'm ready for both of those next books to come out. Come on!

Question: do you want it done or done well?

We're still waiting on the Kingkiller show/movies/animated series for like 4 years now and it still doesn't look like anything is past pre-production.

Only if the other "things" are more important. Martin never turned down an opportunity to go somewhere because of GoT. But Martin has said that he can only write while at home on his 1982 computer. While he traveling, he's not writing. The GoT show came and went and we're still no closer to the next book.

I know of other writers that have had to cancel appearances because otherwise they will miss a deadline. Because getting the writing done is more important.

Getting back to the original post...I also found this:

tokendb.com/token/charm-of-the-elements/

Anyone know the story on this...first I've heard of it. The picture looks super cool.

In the QTR, I believe this was listed as a Patron appreciation token

Maybe it will end up with a transmute like the reaver did, though I’m not really in a huge rush for using a charm slot for damage prevention.
