I'm hoping you didn't mean that like it comes off.

I've reduced my runs (from 3 to 1) due to the glut of fleece and UC/Rs and I've heard several others doing the same. So that's $ out of TD's pocket.

I think VTD10b was still a near selllout? I know that by mid-day Saturday, you couldn't find tickets for runs on Sunday.

It might be good that the tickets are spread out amongst more players. It's only money out of TD's pocket is someone else isn't looking for runs.

I do think there's a 'B' effect as well, where folks will run the second offering less.

I also asked for more fleece in the Arcanum Shirt recipes, so it wasn't just Ian. I also asked for recipes that use VTD bits (ie 2020 & 2021) as alternative recipes to some transmutes, such as making the Greaves UR a Transmute that had multiple creation options, such as using greaves or 2020 & 2021 bits.

Finally, I asked for guidance on TD's goals when creating recipes, which received no response (one link among several asks):

Given lack of response and lack of use for VTD bits, I think we can infer at this point that things are working as desired.

the problem is more people are reactive and pro active.

I have been trying to increase everything in recipes . Most shoot it down(not all)...I saw the Trade goods and GF going down in price from auctions/all the VTDs etc.
The lack of in person cons is not getting new blood which would help all this. So this thread was reactive and not proactive.

To me, the preferred answer wouldn't be ratcheting up the GF costs in things like Arcanum recipes but instead creating alternate transmutes that use monster bits/golden fleece. A storyline token would have been ideal. Allowing monster bits in the treasure map recipes, or something like that, would have been great also.

Its only anecdotal etc etc but I have heard people who would know express that B and C versions defiantly don't sell as well as A.

I would also express that it is possible that some of those empty runs may have been removed from the site after a certain point to make things easier on the schedule/volunteers.

If you look at the 10b schedule, there are a bunch of runs that don't show up.

I would rather not have runs pulled ahead of time, but I can understand if it's useful to do so. Is there a particular time increment before a run for when it will get yanked so that I can plan in the future?

this. don't run 6 times....run 2 times...you will have just enough fleece. let others try...if its totally overwhelmed where half the runners have "already seen it"....that is a huge buzzkill.

That's one of the reasons I enjoy doing GENCON runs with my group of friends, where it's the first time through the Dungeon for all of us.

I had no idea this happened. I typically just filter the view to the number of "available" tickets I need and don't see if a time slot disappears. That is interesting...I'll try the other views on the next VTD. Thank you for the insight.

Out of 80 original runs on Sat and Sun only 63 ended up being offered. A lower number than earlier VTDs. Suspect 9b will even be less due to expenses with auctions and in person cons.

Didn't they say the next set of VTD won't have repeat Dungeons? That would solve the problem of low ticket sales on repeat VTD.

Don’t recall about VTD for 2023. Wait until folks start voicing not being able to get XP since only offered one weekend. Also glut of trade goods and saturation of market means treasure is viewed as less valuable and results in folks doing less runs.

Since completion tokens next year are same regardless of difficulty I plan to do just two of each run with one at normal (not as part of normal only run times) for fun and one at epic for fun and XP.
