Reason for clarification: with Potions, there was little reason to do so as a Druid would turn one in for almost no benefit. With specifically a Trinket of Trollform, however, a Druid could activate one in a puzzle room to regenerate 2 HP for free, provided they had sufficient copies remaining for their combat (or Iktomi's).

Related clarification request: can a Druid activate Iktomi's (or its Relic/UR forms; or a Potion Polymorph (Asp) with Iktomi's) in a non-combat room to take advantage of a Polymorphed form's Damage Resistance? I believe puzzles themselves deal untyped or Eldritch damage, but environmental damage (e.g., lava for Fire or glacial rivers for Cold) occasionally exists. It would be good to have an answer to this, and have it be consistent with Trinkets too.

Druids haven't been restricted from polymorphing in puzzle rooms so far, including with Iktomi's, and I've never heard anyone say it caused any problems or was unbalanced. Even if Iktomi's was able to provide elemental DR in a puzzle room, it is outshone significantly by the new Legendary Trilliant.

There is no general restriction on what type of room one can polymorph in.

Unless explicitly stated otherwise by a specific token's description or for a specific room's description in a module (either of which would be quite rare), you can polymorph in a puzzle or combat room.
