I think the change to the embossed token "reverse" was one desired for aesthetics, not to make the "proofs" unique.  The differences would be a secondary "benefit".<br /><br />Dave

lemme try again...just so I know I am understood (I'm having trouble understanding it all myself.)<br /><br />Jeff did the sticker-less "backside" for a cool look factor - it looks like a pressed gold coin - not something with a sticker on BOTH sides.<br /><br />Now the issue of new mold...<br /><br />IF we are going to have a way to set the first run proofs off as different than stuff made later on, Jeff is looking at a change to the mold if the cost is not crazy expensive...This will help keep fake tokens from popping up.<br /><br />So the UR first run tokens have no symbol for example - if a mold change is possible then maybe the 2007 SET has 2007 or a symbol on the embossed side to make them and first run look different.<br /><br />That make sense?

Hey Bro,<br /><br />I think it's a great idea to add a date or symbol so that each year's tokens can be distinguished from each other.  Of course it's always possible that this year is the "blank" year, with dates or symbols added from 2008 and on.<br /><br />Bro<br /><br />

Well - it sounds cool to me too...but there is the MOLD change charge to consider...<br /><br />I think the cost saving thought is to do something on the stickers and not the mold impacting backside...<br /><br />Bro

I'm a game-aholic, but I must not be a tokenaholic - I won't be trying to get a complete set of first-runs, second-runs, next year's, etc. (though a complete set of UR's would be nice!).<br /><br />Ended up buying my "10" bags last night - now to wait for April so I can stack and sort!<br /><br />brian<br />
