TOPIC: what makes one a "tokenholic"?

Re: what makes one a "tokenholic"? 16 years 11 months ago #85

You might have to stay away from logo's and even pictures of tokens for trademark considerations.

Widseth

i like the idea of "charter member". i'm not sure if the year is necessary. as for later members they could get just a member shirt. as for using the "true dungeon", couldn't jeff just okay it? or is it more complicated?

i'm leaning towards a darker color for all of the reasons mentioned already.

*BONK* i got an idea. could we do on the front "Charter Member: True Dungeon Tokenholics Anonymous" year being optional. and maybe the top 10 or so criteria on the back?

you make the charter member a little larger to grab people's attention as they walk by in the vender hall.

then we can add just "member shirts" as the years go.

have we heard from jeff on any of this yet? maybe he has ideas?

I definately want a shirt. I agree that maroon is a good color. I like Smak's idea for what should go on the shirt. I agree that putting something on the back of the shirt is a good idea and will add to the shirt.

Kim

Something on the back adds like $3 a shirt...I think...

I LOVE That! Maybe Tokenholics Anonymous 2007, with the reverse side "All your tokens are belong to us" =D

I vote for the Tokenholics spelling (leave out the "a").
I'm game with the above sayings.

How about a picture of a woodie with the saying, "Got Purp?" printed on the token?

:)

I'd skip red.
White is okay if using the picture of a token.
If using white background, I'd not use red lettering - black or Purple lettering. ;)

Grey t-shirts are okay, but I'm not sure about the lettering or a picture with it.

JKW

You guys are driving me nuts. What's with the use of impoper english in the above sentance? Okay, so "got purp" totally defies proper english, but I'd much prefer that than "all your token are belong to us." Said properly, that sentance would read something like "all your tokens belong to us."

How about "beware the purple token eater..." Okay, a throwback to the song I made up. :) I think "got purp" would work for more people.

No pictures, no logos, ...just letters...

Maybe

Charter Member 2007
Tokenholics Anonymous

OR

Tokenholics Anonymous
Charter Member 2007

on front left?
