TOPIC: Golden Tickets...your thoughts?

<br />Or maybe a 2nd tier of Ultra-Rares, that you could only pick at increments of $1K and that weren't part of the 00 bag promotion?  Maybe there would be 16-20 regular PYPs, and another 10 on top of that, that could only be obtained by as a PYP in increments of $1K for example (for every $1K, people would get to pick 3 regular PYP's, and one of the 2nd tier PYPs).  In that case someone would have to spend $10K to get all 10, and there would be a lot of incentive for people to get to that next $1K plateau so that they could order another of the special PYP's.  <br />

<br /><br />Actually, I love that idea.  And considering that you could get an extra super-special restricted access token at EVERY $1,000 spent, no one would really have any incentive to spend less.  And no matter what your price point, you'd always have some incentive to pay more, at least up to the point where you had all the extremely-Ultra-rare tokens. <br /><br />

here is a few thoughts i have had.<br /><br />1. bring back the gold tickets of old. just have it at $1,000, or $2,000, or whatever. available at say, preorder time.<br /><br />2. introduce a silver ticket at a bracket/tier lower. (base rewards accordingly for each of these). again, at preorder time.<br /><br />3. lower the amount of different UR's to 10. this might make attaining a "set" more workable for some, thus prompting them to go "just one more order".  <br /><br />4. still have the willy wonka style GT's and ST's to round/even out groups from preorder sales.

10 URs!!!!  ARE YOU MAD?  =D  :O  =D<br /><br />If anything increase the numbers of URs like 5 or so...this would increase sales as there is more liklihood of good stuff being on the shelf for folks to go after in the PYP plan.<br /><br />There are not enough set builders out there - and the Majority of folks are going after 1-3 URs in the PYP plan...so give them more things to choose from and let them decide how to best get them.<br /><br />I do like the GTs of old...but I just don't see the time slots working out as well as in years past (not that they did not cause a headache then).<br />

well i was thinking that some items have been out there a while. it might be time to change them up. they can be reintroduced. <br /><br /> another thought i had was that by limiting the number, they become more rare. some folks might not order as many, because they will be able to get a set for say $5,000. how many people will that be realistically, 3-5. i would think that the number of people that might go for that extra little bit to complete a set would offset this. this is, assuming (i know, bad word to use), that tokenholics back off on spending.

What about having a VIP area for Combo exchange?

How about Gold, Silver, and Bronze tickets?<br /><br />Gold in the first set of pre-orders, random like this time.<br /><br />Silver in the second set of pre-orders and random, like this time.<br /><br />Bronze as a set purchase level reward.  This would be the run where everyone who reached the certain purchase limit($2k or whatever) got all the normal bonus stuff, plus the run through the dungeon with a peek at the extra room and whatever other goodies they have for the big spenders.<br /><br />6 total runs(3 each of combat and puzzle), first thing Thursday.  If more people spend to that bonus amount, then have more runs.  I don't think anyone would be too upset if there were more of those since that means more cash for TD.

Hmmm.... of all the ideas people have had about the future of gold/silver/platinum/diamond/whatever tickets, I think I like this most.<br />Give the best available as a random shot so you don't exclude the average joe.  But the big spenders still have a special run guaranteed.<br />This gets my vote.<br />

I am against extras because the value and coolness of something depreciated with additional numbers.
