Some common items:<br /><br />Sovereign glue (maybe uncommon)<br />whistle<br />compass<br />fishing kit<br />snare<br />shovel<br />crowbar<br />lock<br />manacles<br />10 ft. pole<br />sack<br /><br />Celtic/druidic wooden weapons made of darkwood (bow, quarterstaff, spear) <br /><br />Cranston suggested Robe of Useful Things - could also be a Handy Haversack if you don't want it to take up a slot or be limited to certain classes<br /><br />finally, not common, but fun:  slippers of spider climbing<br />

In that case, I submit a Bottle of Power Word Kill.  Usable by anyone.  Just open the bottle and the trapped syllables come flow out.

Rod of Penetration (heh heh heh): Lowers target monster's saving throws by 3. Does not stack. Charged.<br /><br />Amulet of magic resistance: %25 chance any magical effect doesn't affect you right off the bat.

first thing i thought of was runes that are placed in weapons or armor (like in diablo2).  have different runes at all rarities with all sorts of effects.  then some of the rare weapons and armor could be things like 'runic long sword': regular long sword with one rune slot...or if runes arent very powerful, two rune slots for even more customization.  the UR version of the weapons would be +1 weapon with the rune slots.  this would allow a good deal of customization for weapons...though, may be deemed too complicated to deal with during a dungeon run.

Way too complicated, unless we soddered tokens together whenever someone applied a rune ).<br /><br />It would make for a nice combo token though. Submit a +1 long sword + other ingredients. Get back a +1 longsword +2 vs whatever. Or anything along those lines.

All great suggestions!<br /><br />And someone stole an idea I was holding back.  Let's just say I loved playing Diablo 2 and a certain Cube.  I think it ties in great with the whole ancient culture thing -- with lost formulas and all.  Should be fun, and it will make finding an ancient text token cool.  More details later -- once Dave gets done fixing it.<br /><br />Please keep the great ideas coming.  You guys are making this so easy this year!

The suggestion has been multiple times about how cool it would be to have familiars.  Make Find Familiar a rare and allow it to be turned in the coaches area.  Allow the player to draw from a bag with several tokens that have familiars on them.  They get to keep the token.  The familiars can be commanded to perform simple tasks.  They can also take a death blow for the wizard.<br /><br />Kim

aw heck no...Clerics want Familiars too!<br /><br />Actually I like the idea - but forget giving a familiar token...give either a Familiar CARD or just make something on the party card like a check box or something...<br /><br />Doing a token would make them WAY too popular to ever use!

I had envisioned the actual familiar token with perhaps having a line at the top where you could write in the name of the familiar.  It would make it even cooler.  Sometimes you have to use a token because it's cool.  I would think too that we could make it available to classes other than just the wizard.  That was just my example.<br /><br />Kim
