TOPIC: 2009 Token Suggestions GO HERE!!!

I added a bunch to my original list on page one of replies, so if you haven't been reading back please take a peek.

Four Leaf Clover - Allows you to redraw a token from a treasure box. So if you get something you don't like, use it to draw again and keep one. Either a rare/UR that persists (once/room) or a C/UC that is used up?

Oh, and a horn of plenty type object please. I don't have one yet... =(<br /><br />Other Ideas:<br />Like to see the Wand of Magic Missiles as a chip.<br />Serpent Staff - When swung it becomes a living snake, if you hit with a slide. Same Damage Wheel as +1 Staff. Monster has to save DC 12? or take additional poison damage (5hp?)<br />Scroll - Entangle (Druid only) Save or be held immobile, save each round<br />Goodberries - As suggested earlier would fit theme perfectly, common heal 1hp<br />Summon Animal - Spell/Scroll - Add the summon animal spell to Druid card, then have tokens of different types of animals (bear, wolf, etc.) each with their own damage wheels. So they become the Druids weapons. Then Druids can collect different creatures to use with the spell. Maybe allow the Wizard to use it as a scroll as well.<br />Other Ideas: Scroll-Spider Climb, Animated Rope - UR

I like the 4-leaf clover idea.  I would make it R or UC, and a consumable.  RE: it and the HoP, I would say you would have to redraw all three tokens.  You cannot use two in the same room.<br />

A four-leaf clover could be a general item and a consumable.  It could be +1 to all saving throws and it could then be used as a consumable where someone could draw two treasure tokens and put back the one they liked the least.

Or re-roll a save, re-slide an attack...but I like it for treasure pulls. Bad pulls suck.<br /><br />

Ummm. Wouldn't this just, over time, predipose the treasure boxes to spitting out crap on average? If everyone started redrawing, wouldn't you just be screwing those without one?

But what is treasure for one person would not be for others.  I might draw a great sword, but might want to redraw to get something for my wizard or an ingredient.<br />

Ummm, riiiight. I'm sure the wizard who draws the longsword +2 will just chuck it back in, hoping to instead get wizard gear.

I agree with Henwy that the 4 leaf clover should probably not be used for redraws from treasure boxes. The other problem I can see is the player pulls and pulls and pulls because they have a shwack load of clovers and are determined to get something cool. This will cause problems in the room if other players haven't drawn yet and the time is about to run out. Some people have slippery fingers as is I don't think we should encourage them in that regard. Instead keep it as a +1 to save or a re-roll on a save or slide. <br /><br />As for weapons Rares...<br /><br />How about +1 swords, maces or clubs or whatever that are still +1 but are also silver or cold iron and give off bonuses toward certain creatures. Silver obviously werewolves and certain undead. Cold iron for fay or outsiders.<br /><br />You could even do a +1 two handed great sword for a paladin that was good and did extra damage to evil creatures.<br /><br />Or in that theme make scrolls that will cast those qualities onto a weapon if you don't want to limit the good weapon to just paladins.
