As an example! I will always defend my Pixies! After all I don't want to lose the joy of seeing a certain one flit around the tavern. I was just thinking if there was a specific Druid Dungeon that people were talking about then there would probably be a dryad or naiad to show up. They of course might need to be punished! I'm just putting my foot in my mouth further and further aren't I?javascript:void(0);
sad2

For some reason I thought I saw a smiley sticking his foot in his mouth but I can't find it. lol
Ummm, riiiight. I'm sure the wizard who draws the longsword +2 will just chuck it back in, hoping to instead get wizard gear.

I might.

I agree with Henwy that the 4 leaf clover should probably not be used for redraws from treasure boxes. The other problem I can see is the player pulls and pulls and pulls because they have a shwack load of clovers and are determined to get something cool. This will cause problems in the room if other players haven't drawn yet and the time is about to run out. Some people have slippery fingers as is I don't think we should encourage them in that regard. Instead keep it as a +1 to save or a re-roll on a save or slide.

That's why I said you couldn't use two (more than one) in the same room.

No worries dear, I was just teasing. Now if you suggested that and a "butterfly" net then I might have to look at you a little suspiciously. ;)
But enough of this, we don't want to give Forsaken any more ideas.

Rune Shield : equivalent to +1 large (or small? not tower) shield, plus a bonus against spells.

Spiked Shield : can be used as a second weapon by warrior/paladin/cleric.

Rather than put out a lot of stuff all at once, here are some ideas for gem tokens: Jet, Flint, Amber, Marble, Agate and Shell. Celts used shell rings for money in 6th-4th century BCE. Aside from just being gp valued gems, these, these stones could also be used for items as well. Such a marble bowl or a jet and amber bead necklace. Agate was used for charms as well as stone tools.
Suggested Celtic Tokens:
Shell Rings 5gp
Jet 10gp
Flint Nodule 15gp
Agate 20gp
Flint Knife damage 1-2-3-4
Amber 25gp

Romans also used many stones. Aside from the ones the Celts used, the Romans were especially fond of Pearls, Peridot, Coral, Carnelian, Lapis, Rock Crystal (clear quartz), and Amethyst. The following list puts some relative value on these items from a Roman perspective of about the 1st century CE
Suggested Tokens:
Rock Crystal 10gp
Amethyst 20gp
Carnelian Necklace 25gp
Peridot 25gp
Lapis 50gp
Coral 100gp
Pearl 200gp

By the way, Greek mythology says that peridot came from Griffin's nests. A token of a rough chunk of peridot might make a nice ingredient token or a fee token for entry into the tavern. Other possible ingredient tokens from Celtic/Roman/Greek mythology that might be taken from a creature or found in a puzzle locked container: Selki Hide, Griffin Feather, Minatour Horn, Hydra Teeth, Lernian Boar's Tusk, Golden Fleece, Dragon's Scale, Medusa's Blood, Wolf's claw, Cyclopian Eyelash, Fae Glamour Dust, Laurel Wreath, Midsummer Mistletoe Berries, Sacred Oak Acorn, Salmon Fin, Vial of Water from Brigid's Well or even a few green Conamara Marble Chips.

Some of those gems you suggested already exist, generally with wildly different values. Don't know if that'd confuse people too much. I'm all for more gems though; they're often my favorite part of the set. I'd like to put in a vote for reprinting aquamarine in chip form....that's Kalen's birthstone, and we'd been talking about doing TD gem tokens as part of the wedding decorations/favors.

I removed my original post because I wanted a chance to re-vamp these in the theme we are shooting for:

UR +2 Defender Falchion (1 hand, 3,5,6,7,8,10 and adds +2 AC)

UR +2 Dagger of Venom (1 hand, 3,4,5,6 a "20" results in FORT save of target or take an additional 10 points of poison damage)

UR +1 Spear - Dragon Slayer (2 hands, 2,4,6,8,10,11 and double damage versus dragons... similar Slayer type weapons can be made for other creature types)

UR +2 Gladius of Speed (1 hand, 2,4,6,8 and First Strike, i.e. user always strikes first regardless of initiative)

UR +1 Moon Scythe (druid only, 2 hands, 2,3,4,5,6,7 and natural 20 heals all party members 2 points of damage)

R Potion of Barkskin - Imbiber has a minimum AC of 18.

R Scroll of Warp Wood (druid and wizard only)

R Scroll of Speak with Plants (druid and wizard only)

R Scroll of Fire Seeds (druid and wizard only, scroll is marked like a weapon 4,6,8,10 and thrown like ranged attack)

R Greater Mistletoe (druid only, expend for automatic success on memory test)

R Scroll of Reincarnate (druid only, 50% chance target is brought back to life as a human with variable class... 50% chance target is brought back to life as small, furry animal... no fair killing the target character over and over till you get the result you want on multiple castings... if the target dies again (for any reason), they are dead permanently... Mother Nature doesn't like too much fiddlin'.)

Legally... its questionable. Morally... its disgusting. Personally... I *like* it.

I knew that many of these already existed in TD. The values suggested reflect more the level of the value these cultures put on them. After all, the Vikings valued silver over gold in the 8th and 9th centuries. That is why the British monetary system is based on the pound sterling, rather than the gold sovereign. Also why in military ranks silver is higher in rank than gold in Lt. bars and Maj/LTC oak leaves badges.

Ooh, I like this one. What are you....a man, or a MOUSE?

For ease of use, they could come back at full hp in their chosen class, to make it better than PODD if it succeeds. All it would take for the DM is a coin flip. It would be quite humorous if the party has to *hit* the mouse (ac 30 or something due to size) in order to try again - they each get one shot before it scurries away.
