Hmmm.  Good catch Mather.  The Gloves of Dexterity were not affecting Reflex saves.  Actually, if we had any Constitution or Wisdom affecting items, they would not affect Fortitude or Will saves either.  I went through and set it up to appropriately use the three attribute scores accordingly, but this has pointed out a different issue worth investigating.  I had taken the starting values from what was in the original character sheets on truedungeonfans.com.  I was able to account for all of the class/race based starting values (from Players Handbook v. 3.5) for the player cards with the exception of the follow:<br /><br />Barbarian:  truedungeonfans shows Fort: 4  Reflex: 1  Will: 1   when I show it should be Fort: 3  Reflex: 2   Will: 1<br />Paladin:     truedungeonfans shows Fort: 6  Reflex: 4  Will: 4   when I show it should be Fort: 3  Reflex: 2   Will: 2<br />Ranger:     truedungeonfans shows Fort: 4   Reflex: 3  Will: 2  when I show it should be Fort: 4  Reflex: 5    Will: 2<br /><br />The attribute scores per truedungeonfans:<br /><br />Barbarian    Dex: 12    Con:  10  Wis:  11<br />Paladin      Dex: 12    Con:  10  Wis:  12<br />Ranger        Dex: 14    Con:  12  Wis:  12<br /><br />Can anyone that has access to the cards or images of the actual class cards (or whatever DMs use if different) confirm what the Saves / Attributes show for these 3 classes?  I want to make sure I'm in sync with actual play values.<br /><br />Thanks in advance...

I realize it doesn't completely solve the issue, but don't forget that the paladin gets to add their charisma bonus to their saves.<br /><br />Btw, TD... where's my Helm of Brilliance? =) (copyright Mather for Token suggestion for next year)

So stats add to saves again? Last I recall, it was nixed because of the confusion with potions of stat gain and crap.

Ugh....well, adding in the charisma bonus on the Paladin would explain the 6 for fortitude saves, but it would then mean that the other two saves should be 5's, not 4's.<br /><br />I don't know about any ruling about saves not being affected by attribute-enhancing equipment.  Any one know anything about this?<br /><br />

This was raised ages ago, but like most TD rules and discussions, we reach a conclusion, someone stamps approval of it (dave or jeff) and then we all just forget the damn thing and it disappears into the archive. Then the player's guide or token guide comes out and the rules are all fuxed from what some of us recall. It's one of the downsides of using a forum to discuss issues like this. Threads disappear into the ether.<br /><br />My memory of it was that someone listed reflex saves as going up by +1 due to the gloves of dex. It was corrected from up above that we weren't going to work saves that way, linked to stats because it got sort of confusing. It didn't matter much at the time because there were no real con, wis, dex enhancing items other than the gloves of dex. But potions of stat gain were just coming into play and it was thought it would fux with keeping track of a person's saves and it would just be easier if an item only affected saves if it said it affected saves.<br /><br />Of course, now that I'm looking at the guide entry, I have no clue what's going on

Aye, I don't know what's been decided here on the forums and am simply reading the tokens. The Potion of Cat's Grace which gives +4 to Dex in () notes as well that Reflex saves get +2.<br /><br />Personally, with the gloves I don't think there's much to keep track of if the base save is adjusted on the party card in the prep room. As for potion adjustments, I wouldn't write them on the party card as folks might forget to erase them when they leave the room. I shouldn't think it would be too hard for the player though to remind the DM that don't forget I get a +1 to my save from that potion I drank a moment ago when they roll their save with the big 20-sided die. If the player forgets to mention it, their bad, because the DM has enough things to worry about.

OK.  From what I'm seeing, the saves are not fully based on the stats in the same way as regular D&D.  As I was reminded, this is not D&D, it is TD.  So, I don't need to have anything computing saves based on adjustments to the core stats.  I did, however, miss the +1 Reflex that was on the token and have added it in on the next revision.  This did bring to light that the character sheets I based the program on (which was from truedungeonfans.com) are outdated even on the core stats.  A few of the attributes and saves have changed and I am reflecting these also.  I'll be posting the update shortly, unless anyone else has a correction for me.  Thanks again for the great feedback.

Working on my Paladin' sheet and I cannot get it to pull up Sey Lahs Cestus, it actually cuts off at the Morning Star.  Is there a limit to the number of rows a drop down can return?  A similar problem exists with the Fighter stopping at Hand Axe, the drop down seems to have some sort of limit or at least it does in Excel 2007 Compatibility Mode.  Thoughts on how to correct?

<br />I guess for 2007 that only increases how many lines the you can see when you drop down the box, but not the range of data,  it is something wrong with how column AV is getting populated as it caps out at 56 rows of data, but I can't find the right cell that controls how that is populated and sets the limit to about 50 rows of returned data.
