TOPIC: New Character Sheet Generator File

I believe the Barbarian base Strength is incorrect. I know for sure it's an odd number and I think it's 15, but I'm not absolutely certain.<br /><br />Fantastic utility! I've been using it a lot.

Yes...my idea for the runestones was that they would be announced by players when the Coach is figuring up stats on the Party Card.  Let's do it that way.<br />

The Barbarian base strength will be updated as soon as we can get the exact sum from the cards. Unfortunately the utility required us to pull a few numbers from the old file or from memory.

Unfortunately, when we confirmed some of those a few months back, some of them had changed (for example: wizard was upped to 10 for strength).  I meant to write them down while we were coaching, but got too busy.  <br /><br />**** If anyone out there (Dave, Gary, Jeff, etc.) can send me the official numbers (scans or the source files), I would be much obliged. ****<br /><br />I'll be updating this shortly to include the rest of the new combo items and segment 2 of the rod of seven parts.  If I can get the official stats by then, I'll add them as well.<br /><br />

Gary,<br /><br />Are you sure those are the current values?  I ask because even the token guide indicates that barbarians get a +2 / +2 with the Hill Giant Girdle, presumably due to an odd numbered starting strength.  And, I know for a fact (being the bard), that the saving throws on the back of the player card (and the neck card) were 1 4 4 not 4 2 2.<br /><br />I thank you for typing them up (and for giving them to me a few months back when I first asked), but I'm not sure they match up with what was at GenCon. 

Very interesting that it's the Fighter and Ranger that now get +2/+2 with the Girdle and not the Barbarian.  I'm not sure we were calculating it right at GENCON, I think we were still doing it for the Barbarian and nobody else.  I'll need to make sure we revise that next year.  <br /><br />How does the Paladin have such great Savings Throws with such low stats?  I'm not that familiar with D&D (more of a GURPS player), so it looks odd to me. 

Paladin gets a CHA bonus to his saves, from what I remember.<br /><br />Also, ugh; the fighter now gets the extra bonus from the girdle instead of the barbarian? I didn't bother looking at the card stats, because I figured they wouldn't change.

I agree.  Dave, we do need an official set of numbers because even the token guide implies that only the barbarian has an odd-numbered strength to benefit from the girdle.  I know that the new party card with saving throws on the back had different values for bard than what you have listed, Gary, so if nothing else the party card was put together using different info than what you have.  <br /><br />

I know for a fact that in both runs I went on this year, the Fighter only had a 14 strength, because another point would have pushed my to hit/damage up +1 each.

Syncronization of all the player materials (and verification with Jeff) is on my list of things to do.  I will be happy to get a set of stats to you when I do that.  There are several longstanding issues (with rulings) that need to be cleared up, so this will be handled in a month or so with Jeff and official new guides, etc. will be posted...<br /><br />Dave
