TOPIC: 2015 Treasure Chip Market

2015 Treasure Chip Market 9 years 6 months ago #49

I was lucky enough to hit two specials in about 100 draws... Oil of Deadly Venom and Boots of the Marauder... I do feel I wasted my luck on these two :)

Personally I'd like to see a higher percentage of specials, say 1% really good specials and 2% lesser specials (like what I drew, older rares, etc).
My online token shop: www.tdtavern.com

We buy, sell, and trade True Dungeon tokens. We also have a convenient consignment program where you can sell your own tokens.

that was the treasure map box a few years ago, that had older stuff

It would be bad for a new player to pull something from 2011 out of the treasure box that was for underwater stuff
so yea older items in the treasure box are not good

I'd be fine with older tokens in the treasure boxes, I think it would be neat for players to be able to pull tokens from past years. And when you think about it, for a lot of people pulling tokens designed specifically for that year's Dungeons isn't of much help since they have already finished their Dungeon. I wonder what percentage of players run more than one Dungeon per year.

Its all fun and games until someone gets a Ring of the Deep :P
D&D teaches all the important lessons in life - the low blow, the cheap shot, the back stab, the double cross. - Jerry Marsischky

Let them trap us. We have our swords. - Elric of Melnibone.

You try to get them to play the game, but all they want to do is play the rules. - Ardak Kumerian

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend - Faramir

I'm actually holding onto a set of 10 Rings of the Deep, in case we have another Underwater adventure and it's not reprinted. And worst case it is about 25% of a Philosopher's Stone. :)

Fair point. For me treasure is now about trophies and things to mulch into trade goods.

For new players, they may be hoping for more useful gear.

Prior to committing hardcore last year my whole crew aimed to run all available story modules 1 time each year. Most of my crew still does this.

So 2 runs per year for 4 people was my previous mark

I remember selling a whole stack of those to Troll and Toad that year, at something like $40 a pop. I was laughing all the way to the bank..
