I don't know. There is a whole lot of fire reduction floating around.

Two Charms (-1 & -2) as this year's completion tokens.

Last year's Ruby Rhombus. Last year's Ring of Fire Absorption (which is probably worse than the old Ring of Fire Resistance).

Faceted Amber is nice because it works against ALL spells and missile attacks. Ruby Rhombus is much, much more narrow.

Plus the Faceted Amber stacks with other items that reduce damage. If a firebolt hits you for 8 damage and you have the new FR ring -3 fire damage and the Faceted Amber -2 they stack since once reduces fire and the other reduces spell damage, as long as the attack is a spell that does fire damage :)

Last I recall, specific damage reduction stacks as well. So Ring of Fire Absorption will stack with Ioun Stone Ruby Rhombus. And they would also stack with 5th level Barbarian DR, and Supreme Ring, and Dragonscale set. Etc.

Are you serious? We got a Charm this year to deal with fire and a lamp last year. I would happily sell all mine for 5 except I am pretty sure I transmuted all mine last year.

That's correct, I only have one left, likely will never sell at that price. Now if anybody wants to sell me some at $5 I'll set a more reasonable price :-) :-)
