2 more bids came in. they were both for 1300 on the alchemist pouch. this situation is similiar to what i was talking about above. i went with the first bidder as that seemed like the right thing to do. =D

It is always exciting when bidding gets past the "I know it will not go for that price" point and into the realm of "real" bids. I am very interested to see what price your +2 Long Sword goes for. Greyseer just sold his for $99.51, but no one was interested in mine for $109.50. Depending on how value gold, you currently have a bid for:

Gold @ $0.020 = bid for $76.00
Gold @ $0.025 = bid for $95.00
Gold @ $0.030 = bid for $114.00
Gold @ Price Guide = bid for $118.75

I've been tracking gold sales to be in the $0.20 to $0.25 range, so based on that I wouldn't be surprised if you got more bids from people when they look at it from the standpoint of "Well as long as I get it for less than $109.50, I am getting it less than I could get it elsewhere."

Good luck to all involved! If you don't end up winning you know where to find me

What I'm amazed at is the bid on the argonite. I would never have thought it would go that high.

Kim

Bulk sales of GP on e-Bay have been 2.5 to 3 cents per GP (once shipping is factored in, which I feel is part of the price).
There is no charge for awesomeness, or attractiveness.

Good point to call out Arp. I do not include shipping and handling costs when I state the value of a token and did not do so when I stated gold to be in the $0.02 to $0.025 range.

So I don't feel like I am totally hijacking smakdown's thread here, let me say that Jeff is an awesome seller. I've traded with him a couple times and have always been very very happy with our deals. Any new buyers should feel well at ease when trading with him.

thank you for the endorsment. i try to be fair, but i'm sure i have messed before.

your analysis of gold pricing is pretty accurate. i found gold to be ranging from $0.016 to $0.022 per gold piece earlier in the year. since certain events have transpired, it has creeped up. there is one thing you might consider. "some" players purchased tokens on the PYP plan and really don't care about the gold. now that they have what they wanted initially, the gold part of the package is like extra fodder to be rid of. these individuals are willing to pay more gold than an item is worth because the gold is something already paid for. they would do this before putting out more "cash" for an item they might be able to get for their fodder.

i hope that made sense? =|

oh yeah, by the way, just a little over an hour before the auction ends. =D

2 pieces of argonite represent 50 rares. at 100gp each, that would have been 5k. now these rares would include some of the less desireable ones, but they are still harder to come by.

i first set the price at 4000 gp but then decided to go with the closest/best offer.

and time is running out. =D
