If someone backs out of an auction after it is finalized, I would expect them to not be welcome in further auctions. That's pretty basic auction etiquette....

To me it sounds like there is more of an issue with bidders potentially retracting their bid and potentially causing the auction to fail opposed to it failing due to lack of interest. In my opinion we should treat the bids on the forum the same on ebay in the sense if you place a bid you are obligated to honor it unless the auctioneer and you reach an agreement. I have bid on multiple auctions at once and paid for both only when I needed 1, but for those who can only afford 1, I think that falls into personal responsibility and only bidding on one at a time. I am of the mind that if we get people backing out after the auction is completed, maybe there should be a list similar to the successful trades thread, so we can see if there are repeat offenders and Auctioneers can refuse service. While it can be seen as something negative, it might help others feel at ease knowing they are less likely to run into that issue since it gets reported to the community.

i have an artifact that just might say something like that...if anyone would ever be able to translate the runes.

all that said, and it sounds like i am in the clear. i'll be posting another auction soon. i found a pretty good size fireworks box, and would you believe it was full of tokens.

"grandfathered", you say. now i am feeling my age. i did just celebrate 7 years of marriage on thursday.

Jeff, congratulations on 7 years of marriage and the discovery of a box of tokens you'd forgotten about. :)
