I’m missing something then. It looks like it’s be_l ,so it can’t be belt any more. I know Bell was proposed a few times

They could be toying with our expectations a bit by only partially revealing the "t" at the end.

Congrats, Steve... you have summed up True Dungeon's nefarious mastermind strategy in one sentence.

Tobin Blake wrote: I was reading this and wanted to add something that prompted a recollection of something: One of the stars in the constellation "Orion's Belt" is called "Alnilam", which is related to the word "nilam" which means "Sapphire" in Arabic.

The mention of the sapphire necklace token made me think of this. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I had thought that too, and then figured that was probably too much of a stretch, and who else but a total nerd would put those etymological clues together? (Hi Tobin! Love ya, Nerd!) ... but I will note that the Ring of Riches hiding the Orin's Belt clue is sitting on a shelf with not one, but TWO (maybe even three) Sapphire Necklaces.

Still probably too much of a stretch to think that's an intentional clue... I can't imagine the TD crew going through all of this to, say... give us another cool 1000 GP token. Nor are they cruel enough to include a Sapphire Necklace as part of the transmute recipe ('cause I've heard that one questionable Rogue has a near-monopoly on them.) Plus that token's been OOP for a decade, and that wouldn't be fair.

Though, since we're stretching things, I figured I'd toss out the fact that Orion's belt also hangs his Sword (The Sword Star, Saiph, is just below the stars which form the belt) which may be a clue that this token will boost swordfighting/melee.

Except I'm sure it won't. It will be something which anyone can use... or it's be a real jerk move to get people excited about the transmute and collecting pieces, and then have it a class-restricted item.

Be careful, lest we anger the mighty Burrito eating Star-Lord Druegar!

I am really trying hard not to try and make guesses about what the token could be like many have suggested. That way lies only heartbreak. The whole journey has been interesting and enjoyable enough :-)

BUT, a ring of riches in the belt slot, 3 stars = 3 treasure chips and all that...

I’m sure that’s so. Even if we know the name, we don’t know where or how to get it.

If it’s a slotless bell, get ready for more discussion about slotless tokens. B)

Probably not new analysis, but I'm not reading all of this:

1) looks like "Orion's Belt."
2) "piece of a piece" indicates more stuff needed
3) the fact that only 1 of the actors isn't in Clue would seem to be a clue

(Note: this was reached by searching the TDb for "Relic Recipe Fragment." It contained this picture, and a clue/poem. That page is no longer available.)

The poem, taken from that (now defunct) page:

Token Database wrote:

In days of yore, quite long before
The humans came to plunder more
A relic forged from goods of trade
By ancient hands the thing was made

Alas, for now, the method’s gone
To craft this fine phenomenon
‘Twas fractured by a hand of bronze
And now it’s just some polygons

When days are long and three stars bright
The Dark Knight comes with special sight
For bringing forth the pieces all
To eldest place before the fall

So gather now your goods abound
And bring them where the start be found
A myst’ry now that was foretold
With time, that knowledge shall unfold

On close examination the hint "Fragments" appears in the bottom left corner of his cloak. There might be more to be found? Or this was posted to lead us to the update on the TDb entry for the fragments... which we'd found by the time we spotted the hidden word.

Updated Token Database entry for "Fragment"

Currently the TDb returns 6 relevant pages, with each Relic Recipe Fragment identified by a different number.

Those pages each contain hidden text (which can be seen if you highlight the text just above the words “Useable by”) and putting together the hidden text from all 6 pages gives the following clue:

Token Database Fragment pages wrote:

If you seek the riches
Ring truth for which to sound
The items that you’ll need
To forge a relic found
Go down for which we’ll lead
A ledge so near the ground

Ring of Riches graphic:

The True Dungeon forum page has an aesthetic surround graphic which includes a ledge at the very bottom. On this ledge, from Left to Right sits: a Ring of Riches, a Wand, and 2 (or 3?) “Sapphire Necklace” UR tokens. The Ring of Riches can be clicked to reach a .png file, which has been changing!
