At times, 10 can seem like too much for IRL adventures. I've been in groups of 11 on two separate occasions and the feeling was exacerbated.

Perhaps parties of 8 could make things much more manageable for the online experience. I hope this is something that will be on management's radar during the Patron runs.


I know at least a few have inquired about less than 10. It hasn't had any traction yet. See how the patron runs do it will give some idea (they won't be puggy) but it will be input for Jeff and Co.

I have a slight preference for Audio-Only, as my (in)ability to process too many inputs at once makes it hard to focus on the important parts.

But I agree with many folks who have requested some ability to video-connect with each other... even if it's just in the Coaching Room, or after the adventure is over.

If everyone can video-connect, I guess a screen shot can be the group photo. Maybe TD can arrange a commemorative background for the screen shot- or maybe even everyone's heads on the body of an adventurer. :)

Speaking of coaching, newbie players won’t be getting token bags beforehand will they?

If so, will we have “default” builds for them?

Good point. I wonder if it's possible to mail the loot to people before their run, so they'll have their 10 packs and token pulls and participation token to use on the run. It seems like the time is too compressed for that most likely.

Coaches or players could always go to the online token generator site ( www.truedungeon.com/true/tokens/index.php?kit=825591 ) and use the random tokens from that.

I'll sometimes just sit and click the button until I get a "00" bag!

Interesting thought. That pretty much requires video in coaching. Describing the tokens feels like it would be time consuming. If I hit a 00 and didn’t actually get the token in real life, I would be very bummed.

For players without tokens, maybe make it like it was in 2003 and 2004, when there weren't any weapon tokens or armor tokens (except for rare weapon tokens which gave you +1 to your combat). The weapons were built into the sliders, and characters all had the armor built into the character card.

That does raise the question of how DMs will adjudicate damage if there are no weapons in pucks. Or if we just roll rather than slide.

How will DMs, coaches and trainers deal with this?
