TOPIC: Your best treasure pull

I ended up with a Pharacus' Cloak from a VTD this year as part of the pulls from my group. I have everything shipped to me since I end up buying the full run for our group, but we still like to have the random draw part for everyone. I put all the treasure into a cloth bag and either have people pull out of it in person when tokens are delivered, or come up with something random for people too far away to mail. I want to try to give them the fun of the box as much as I can. When it was my turn, I had my wife churn the bag, and my first draw was the cloak.

Last year after my first run (outside a group once before with loaned tokens) I pulled a 10x Dwarven Steel from the box. I was kindly warned by the person at epilogue that I "could potentially pay for most of your run" if I wanted to sell it to the right party. That plus a 10x plank from a VTD last fall made my map that I'll redeem at Gen Con this year.

Widseth's legendary Lute...pulled right after I had made mine...go figure....it did however help pay for the next years tokens.

The good news: I finally pulled a UR!
The bad news: It's a Ring of the Savant, and I don't play casters.
The good news: My friend has started playing clerics, and is happy to borrow it.

Reading this thread has convinced him that we should also be playing VTD. Here's hoping we have more good news to report

Out of 20 or so runs, best I've done is a Shaed six or seven years ago. Traded it for a Boom Stick, and anyway, I started blasting.

For the reverse, which would be my worst treasure pull, that would probably be in 2005 or 2006 when I pulled a 1 GP token.

Does my wife count? I met her there at TD in 2012. If not then best pull was a relic (been multiple relic pulls over the years) and in VTD the best pull would be a 25k bar/wish ring. Still haven't pulled a legendary from anywhere.

Best fun pull was getting bracers of quivering strike (main monk).

For me, it has to be this last GenCon, where I finally pulled a relic (Boots of Protection)! I actually ended up pulling two of the things over the con. Before that, it was a UR Ring of Havok in 2022.

Still waiting to see what comes from my first VTD...

Yes. She's quite proficient at mathematics.

The best single pull for our group is a wish ring, I think.

However, we had a string of phenomenal luck with VTDs at the end of last year and the beginning of this year, netting 3 Passage to Mirthwood and 4 Passage to Pemberton across 3 VTD events. Unbelievable luck, imo.

Best pull I ever got was Greater cloak of Destiny. Been playing every year since 2008 and it's been that and a Death Die, which I just got this year. So not very lucky with pulls over the years I have played.
