I see the convention is officially Thur-Sun, but can anybody give me some guidelines on what days will have TD runs? And how early do things end on Sunday?

Last year, True Dungeon runs were held on Friday and Saturday only.

The first run on Friday started at 11:36am. The last run on Friday started at 8:36pm.

The first run on Saturday started at 12pm. The last run on Saturday started at 9pm.

True Grind was offered at 5pm, 6pm. 7pm, 8pm, 9pm and 10pm on Friday along with 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, and 3pm on Saturday. IIRC the 1opm Friday True Grind was cancelled due to the exhibit hall closing at 11pm.

For non-TD events, there are a number of games that go until about 4pm on Sunday with only a handful beyond that.

Yeah it seems to be a very RPG-centric con. I'm not into that as much but hope to find some good board game events for when I'm not doing TD.

11pm got merged into the 10pm actually. I was in it :) GHC realized the issue well before the con and emailed about it.

I hope grind is back this year since it wasn't at Origins.

Sometimes we have had the gencon game library coming out otherwise the milwaukee one is rather large as well. Frankly there are a ton of games around to play.

i am running a harry potter sorting hat party(it was approved, with everything going to GHC charity). you will be sorted to the houses. Each person will get a pin for that house they sorted into. i think it will take 100 people

I am also running a scooby doo vs Cthulhu (Mathfinder rules)

My wife and I always do the game library and have never been disappointed. I feel you will find it sufficent. I hope that the con as a whole gets bigger it was my favorite con last year.

I've never been but I'm definitely going this year. Look forward to as many TD runs, board games, and RPG games I can get in.

It sounds like a fun con! :) My immediate issues are hotel and being close to holidays. Unless I get a couple friends interested in making the drive with me, I wouldn't be able to afford the hotel. Seeing as I have only one other friend who is kind of interested in TD, and a total of three gaming friends who actively attend game cons, it would be a hard sell.

Maybe I'll consider volunteering... maybe... having never been to GHC it would be nice to be able to actually see what the con has to offer rather than spend the entire con volunteering.

Is it possible for full time volunteers to get in any runs or does the timing not work out?

Possible if we are looking at the same hours as last year, you should be able to get a run in the morning or afternoon. I don't think there will be enough time to double stack the runs.

It was possible last year, but timing was an issue.

Ticket sales happened before volunteer schedules were posted, so it was very hard to plan. I got lucky with my guesses about schedule and was able to run, but only because Laz and Druegar were gracious enough to cover for me on my last coaching group of the night.
