I suppose I should clarify that - it will be loaned the two. I am thinking of adding a few other tokens as gifts for the charity winner - not sure I'm going as far as COAs :)

Lol. Just making sure I didnt want to bid on it myself.

Also, I'm all for CoT as an add on, unless we are trying for Epic.

Personally, I recommend nightmare for the GT run for new modules. Often they still need to be adjusted one way or another and nightmare is set as the hardest level they are really designed for (Epic just increases baddies HP, etc.). Last year the modules ran smoothly but had adjustments done on puzzles, etc - the year before, we had elements breaking left and right (which was also fun trying to solve a room while helping to redo wiring, etc.).

Okay, gang, first post updated. Here are some things we need to iron-out...

1) Fred - Wizard or Elf Wizard (You were first to get listed so you pick.)
2) Does any one know Josh or mind reaching out to him? Need to know if he has CoAS and/or CoA, etc.
3) Wade, does your +1 have CoAS and/or CoA?

Excellent - so that leaves Barbarian, Bard, Ranger, or Wizard for the Charity person (if that person wanted Wizard, I can default to whatever is needed and I can equip someone for nightmare on all the other classes). Reminder, both Orion and I have CoA and CoAS and will provide the same for the charity person.

Looks like Ranger, Barabarian, and Dwarf Fighter or Bard will be left for whomever wins the charity event, as I truly dont care which of the 2 I end up playing.
Honestly, I'd play any of the 4 remaining classes.

Given that we're playing NM, I would very much like to revisit the idea of charms of transmorph if people could be talked into it. Based on this list of esteemed colleagues, I feel that the only real challenge we will face on NM will be the puzzles. If it were necessary to convince the melee types to give up their Deaco-Lich Claw or Greater Onyx charm for the charm of transmorph, I would be willing to play bard troubador and use enhanced bardsong 3 times.

I'm game, Wade. I can contribute a 6th or a 10th CoT.

I'm rethinking nightmare and supporting epic difficulty. The nightmare runs we did at Origins with heavily decked out people were pretty easy. I don't think we had anyone in either E1 or E2 take more than 20 damage and didn't have anything we fought make it to round 3 (some didn't make it out of round 1).

Some of the changes for this year had a big bump in damage (rogue especially - with the legendary necklace a rogue can routinely do more than 100 damage per attack). Bards giving +4 to saves, attack, and damage while still getting involved themselves, etc..

Of course, this is the run with the story boss creature at the end - after this many years, not killing the *name censored to avoid spoilers* would be really annoying. I'm torn but can support epic if that's what everyone else wants to do.

I see where you're coming from, Fred but I have a few concerns going Epic. We had a similar experience at Origins. We stunned "L" before she could attack and then killed her in one round. But now that Origins is the start of the season and the first time these dungeons are run, I imagine they'll be tweaking the power levels of all the monsters to make them tougher to beat.

Also, if it is indeed the "big bad" we've been chasing these past few years, I imagine he will be made purposefully tougher. Do we know for certain this is the adventure where we will try to defeat him?

Finally, I'm wondering how useful it is for the TD team to make tweaks to the run if we're running it at a level that very few will run during Gen Con. That's the original reason for the GT, right?

All of this said, the BB will have no problem running Epic so I'm open to the group consensus.
