A 7 token challenge at TDC would be an 8 token challenge, given the addition of a new TE since then.

The errata on lenses of divine sight and cloak of shadowskin starting will have huge effect. Not doubling healing will make this much tougher.

I cant speak to nightmare specifically, but if we use this years modules as a guide, 8 would probably be extremely challenging.

I think it sounds like we may be facing certain Death at 7, but I'm up for either.

That is not exactly true. Not everyone on the 7 token challenge used max TE's for their 7 tokens. Whether the changes to the CoShadowskin and LoDS have an affect really matter if we used them last time (not needing the CoEnlightment actual helps if you want to use the LoDS now). Honestly I don't remember and would have to look at the list. Whether 7 or 8 doesn't matter to me though. I am willing to try it either way.

There were 2 Lenses of divine sight, 2 charms of enlightenment, and 2 cloaks of Shadowskin.

IIRC, only one person omitted a TE token, and only one token at that.
D&D teaches all the important lessons in life - the low blow, the cheap shot, the back stab, the double cross. - Jerry Marsischky

Let them trap us. We have our swords. - Elric of Melnibone.

You try to get them to play the game, but all they want to do is play the rules. - Ardak Kumerian

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend - Faramir

Based on the old thread it was at least Ed and maybe Jim as well. That might not be accurate, but it the only data I have to go on as it was too long ago for me to remember.

So though I think losing doubles heals hurts without question, I think the LoDS without the CoE requirement makes it a very solid choice for this type of run. Being able to spilt heals could be huge. Debate away if there is a better choice, there might be just saying I think it is still viable.

LoDS can be a valid choice depending on how much bonus focus you stack.

I think LoDS are still a must for both. Splitting is a huge benefit.
Druid will probably want
3 TEs
LoDS
SRoEC
Bot4W
Drue's
Relsa's if we get a 5th token.

Cleric is probably the same.

You are going without armor or Cloak of Blending?

Ummm, maybe?

I completely forgot about that.

I guess I was expecting enough AoE that it wouldnt matter.

I really dont know what the right solution is.
I think 5th level is a must, and 2 eldritch pieces seems the best way to do that.
LoDS is a must to me. I think splitting will be quite powerful.
That leaves 1 or 2 tokens, depending.

I would replace the boots with the kilt no? Do they need 5 extra damage? My guess is the druid and cleric simply heal their collective behinds off and hide behind cloak of blending maybe? I guess under that logic the kilt doesn't actually do anything either and maybe 5 damage would help if they *had* to attack or something...hmmmm

Well, maybe they diverge. Half the druid spells are offensive, and without a charm of spell Swapping

Go Rod and Kilt? +21 HP, +4 Reflex, +4 Fort, +1 Will, and if it matters: +3 AC, +3 melee to-hit/damage, +3 ranged to-hit

i would not be worried about aoe. i would be worried about a creature hating on the cleric or druid for whatever reason and focusing on them. Moreso the cleric if we are going to Hell.
