Where exactly in the text of the token was I supposed to inherently know that it would not consider the transmuted token to be all 7 pieces of the transmute. Especially given that the full Rod gives the effects of all 7 segments at the same time.

There is nothing on the token itself to indicate that it would become useless 1 year later if I were planning to transmute the teeth.

there's not even a reference in the tokendb entry indicating that the transmuted skull would not count as unique teeth for it.


This. I started very recently. My first major token order was with the 2020 set. I was given one tooth of cavadar prior, bought a 5th, then got 6th with my order. Just feels like a wasted purchase now, since I've gone to the trouble since then to collect the other teeth.

I hear what you (and others) are saying. I'd be in almost the exact same boat if I hadn't bought the outstanding teeth recently. Except...

I did read tokendb and the forums and knew that the semi-lich would not be a component in the Grill (aka Skull of Cavadar) so didn't prioritize one. I've missed out on the HPs and abilities this year. If a semi-lich is added to the Grill requirements (or any other UR psychic token) then I'll be as unhappy as you are now but for the opposite reason.

I think the semi-lich was a brilliant idea to make use of the non-transmuted tokens and should go up in value eventually as all the extra 4,5,6, and 7 tokens float around. In fact, if someone is selling cheap, I'm interested.

My own personal gripe is that I'm not a fan of the sub-classes and would prefer something usable more often. But I see the reasons. And we don't know what lvl 8 will be yet so...

This Skull is perfect! Love the Eldritch Sub Classes feature for this, it's earned and they will finally get more use again!

I would take either option, as long as it isn’t one of everything, AND a UR psychic imbue item. Then again I’d also just off the ovoid and a 6&7 tooth to some new kid without a skull if it wasn’t going into the transmute.

I'm not saying it has to be THE transmute, just that I would like it to be included in one of them. Otherwise, I will own a UR that is dead to me once this transmute comes out. I don't think it will be very high on the market either.

I know the Skull is going to bother a few people, I kinda like where it is at, I don't need it to have more but I can see peoples frustration with it.

I also like where it is at. It is pretty much exactly what I expected it to be plus the addition of the sub-classes which is awesome!

I agree, it's wonderful that the sub-classes were added. I'd still like to see a permanent 8th level ability in addition to the event, but I'm OK if there isn't one. It just seems like if the token itself says it unlocks the 8th level ability, that there should always be some sort of 8th level ability.

I don't know which is most recent, but on the current Transmute page the Skull says "grants access to all power tiers," so it might just be the current 0-7 abilities.

With this giving access to the Eldritch Sub-Classes like the RO7P, does that mean it will be using the same voucher system as the RO7P? If so, that would imply to me that the skull needs to be uniquely numbered as well. If that's the case, it might make sense to start the numbering of the skull after the largest number of RO7P to make the voucher process simpler.
