Just pointing something out when coming up with new UR tokens.

To-date we have yet to have any UR tokens for ether the Greaves (Shin slot), or the beads. We may have 2 transmuted ones for the beads, but no UR tokens.

To date, all greaves have been treasure box only items, which is how TPTB seem to like them. Not to say that couldn't change, of course.

Depending on interpretation, this may be substantially better than MeC, which was just powered down.

MeC is: Gain the base damage (+ skill test) of a spell as a pool among eligible targets of the original spell at a cost of 25 HP and a charm slot.

As proposed I fear this is meant as: Gain base AND BONUS spell damage to a second target at a cost of wrist slot.

If it means split your current base and bonus among 2 targets I have less of a problem with this. Is that the intent?

If not, let's start with MeC and:

1. Move it from Charm to Wrists. Wrists is a more powerful slot, so the effect should improve.

2. Change it from unconditional to only working when 2 or more monsters are present. Making things conditional should improve the effect.

3. Add a target. This is better than MeC, so it should reduce the effect. (Don't underestimate this - with type vulnerabilities it is easy for a 2nd target to add an additional +5 damage)

How about:

Deal your base spell damage (+ skill test) to a 2nd target w/ damage spell at a cost of 15 HP.

This gives you +10 HP per usage to balance out: Swap charm for wrist, swap always for conditional, gain additional target.

How about:

Deal your base spell damage (+ skill test) to a 2nd target w/ damage spell at a cost of 15 HP. (which gives you +5 HP per usage from the movement from wrist to charm, and another +5 HP per usage for the conditional nature).

Even with the original wording, I’d still rather have arcane bracelets or charm bracelets.

My only damaging spell that doesn’t use a puck is searing light. There are multiple adventures where there aren’t undead, or aren’t multiple monsters in the same room. Even if there are multiple monsters in the same room, are they evil? If yes, I get to blast, say, blackthorn and the mind slayer with my only cast of searing light. My alternative is to have 2 always on IS (+ a free spell for arcane set) or 2 always on charms. Yeah, I’ll take the slot expanders.

For Druid, it’s likely(?) trading a multi target spell for +4 spell damage (Draco litch and charm of the wind), or 2 IS and a free spell. I think the spell Druid prefers the +spell damage?

Paladin has free neck slot. Lot of groups don't care about more Guards. As other classes increase damage, some classes get left further behind.


Who would equip this over a usable by all Stu-Pendous Pendant, Medallion of Valhalla, Amulet of the Champion, Medallion of the Sweetwoods, or Charm Necklace?

Usable by one class URs are kind of a bummer - so I'd expand this idea to more classes (even if Paladin's get the best effect).

Maybe:

Amulet of Righteous Fury
Usable by All
+3 to Melee hit

Cleric, Paladin: Smite - After hitting an Evil monster make a WILL save vs. 10+Monsters WILL Save Modifier. If you success deal additional damage equal to your WILL save modifier to the monster. (1/game)

Same text as Bracers of Guided Strike. This effect is too slot restricted.


This item is already the best option for damage optimized Rogues and Legendary Monks (barring foreknowledge of monster types in the dungeon - although there have been a ton of non-crittable monsters recently).

Move it to Ring and:

1. Equip Charm Bracelets instead.
2. Equip Charm of Glory

Get the same effect and a free charm slot (unless I was already using Charm of Glory in my build).

If you want to move it to a new slot I'd suggest hands or waist.
