No - what's a weird limitation is that the Weighted Net can't be used underwater :laugh: where literal weighted nets are extremely effective.

But yeah - side print this as something usable by more classes.

+1 to reprint

-1 to adding classes. (Let the the human fighter retain something unique-ish.)

Can we get some Runestones reprinted? There are a lot that are more than 10 years old and hard to find.

Jeff laid out a the plan quite a while back for UR TEs in 2023 and 2025 that would transmute into a CoA-like token. So it is on the roadmap, just not yet.

It's pretty undetermined at this point I think whether the UR TEs in 2023 & 2025 will be new or reprint, and whether the transmute will be a CoA reprint or something new that might or might not stack with the CoA. All we really know is the AoTF and the 2023/2025 UR TEs will be ingredients in the recipe (and we don't know yet if there is an alternate recipe that doesn't use the AoTF). I think we'll get more clarity when the 2023 UR TE is identified, but maybe not before that.

Yeah, I could have been clearer. The intent of my post was mostly that there is already a plan for "when" UR TEs will be in the schedule, even though we don't know the details. And 2022 is not in that plan.

+2 Cloak of Resistance.

With as important as saves have become, this feels like a critical need.

+2 Cloak of Resistance is readily available on the secondary market for less than the cost of a token 10 pack.

In my opinion rares should not be targeted for reprint in that scenario.

I do think some save interacting thing at rare in the back slot is a good idea - I'd suggest proposing new or endorsing existing save boosting back item ideas in the rare thread.

By this logic, no rare should ever be reprinted.

Well, maybe charm.of enlightenment

That's not the case.

There are many rares that fail the dual tests of:

A. Is it readily available on the secondary market?
B. If so, is it available for less than the cost of a token 10 pack.

I've endorsed some of them for reprint this year or in several years past, such as Ring of Brilliance, this year I'd say yes to Sea Elf Spear or Light Trident.

I'd also be interested in Dagger of Arcane Luck, Bracers of Fire (after we get a Sonic Bracers), Something like a Potion Death's Door, Earcuff of the Wind/Wind Set, Brawler's Mug, Ioun Stone Faceted Amber, Mage Robe of the Vale, Ring of Protection +1 (although I'd like to see that token powered up), Cloak of the Phalanx, Shuriken of Venom, Shuriken of Shock, Bracers of the Asp and pretty much any Rare anyone cares about last printed in 2014 or earlier.

I like the reprints of "evergreen" type of Rares/Uncommons/Commons every few years even if they are available on the secondary market, like the +2 Cloak of Resistance, Gauntlets of Ogre Power, etc. I think those are always good for new players to get in 10-packs. And I do think the +2 Cloak of Resistance isn't nearly as easy to find on the secondary market as it used to be.

Maybe it's time to put out the Might Set again.

Some of the pieces could be upgraded to match contemporary power levels:

Scepter++ could include +2 focus
Boots++ could be +3 or +4 CON
Girdle++ could be +3 STR and +1 saves

Orb and Crown seem OK to me.

Spread them out over 3 years?

Charming set was all in one year, so reprinting 3 might items should be ok in the same year. I like the suggestion of adding focus to the scepter of might, or it could just be a new might weapon - Rod of focused might.

I’m not sure the crown gets much love now that Cranston’s is out, as Cranston’s is dramatically better. That said, when Cranston’s goes out of print the crown of might would probably be a bit better.

Orb of might would be a fine reprint I think.

Maybe +2 Rod of focused might and orb of might in 2022 and crown of might in 2023?

Edit to say that the +2 ranged damage on Cranston’s really cut into design space. Had it been +2 hit or had been +2 missile damage, there would be room for a +2 crown of focus. Now there is very little reason to create a +2 crown of focus given you can get the damage from Cranston’s AND get an extra eye slot as part of the deal.

I could see reprinting the Crown/Orb/Girdle. That would be enough to get someone to 5th level, and if they wanted the Boots or Scepter, those are readily available at less than PYP prices on the secondary market.

I included the Turkey Leg in the common thread, but should have posted it here. I'd be good with the Mutton Leg, as well. :)

I'd love to see a reprint of the Assassin's Crossbow, too. They're impossible to find.
