When you have a keyword, should always use it [cough, Retribution]. If there is room on the token, then write out in parantheses what the keyword means. Keywords can save space, but the real value is in consistency of mechanics and being able to be referenced (or searched).

I'd be a little miffed if I was new to the game and saw two options for a token. One of which is "Pay $250" and the other is "virtually free". The previous transmute options have been for non-standard pack tokens (Reaver and Mystic Orb). And Reaver was announced in advance of VTD being a thing and was explicitly stated as a "thank you" for support in uncertain times.

I appreciate the transmute path sentiment, but I totally get why having a sudden, announced transmute that uses things from half a decade ago leaves a bad taste.

The 'with' in front of Incorporeal is usually 'vs'.

Tokens usually omit the Oxford comma

'1/game' should be in parentheses to match other tokens

I'm confused.

The point of the sling was to synergize with ammo, where ammo has not generally been all that good for multiple reasons.

Make ammo better but remove tokens that synergize with it so that it (ammo) is not as useful?

Assuming avoid sling stones that do double damage to things, let's say a sling stone goes from +4 damage to +6 damage. The net effect of this particular token would be +4 damage over what it was already capable of and +6 over a different sling (ignoring, for the moment, Mighty slings that keep getting bigger from all of the STR increases that happen) as the cost of a consumable every time it's used. In a vacuum, that may sound like it's good. Yet, it doesn't get a STR bonus to damage like various other ranged weapons do. Is it going to be any better than a +2 Lt. Crossbow of Frost?

Instead of worrying about ammo suddenly becoming actually worthwhile to use, where I can see it being largely a waste of money most of the time even if everything gets +2 damage, can change the damage wheel on this thing to 3, 4, 5, 6 which is a pretty normal damage wheel for a sling, anyway, including various UR slings over the year.

Sure, reprint Sacred Sling this year. Then, next time around, play around with double ammo weapons. There is a good argument that printing a weapon that wants to use ammo and not having any ammo for it in the same year is discouraging.

I don’t want to be argumentative (and I sincerely hope I'm not) but essentially compare this to either Ring of the Drake, Ring of Wonder, or Ring of Havoc, amongst others at UR.

I am hoping for more from the honorarily named token. I think its good to have these be slightly above curve power wise.
