I get where you all are coming from with your concerns, but this Necklace (and other UR Neck items to coming in future years) is meant for a player who does not have the resources for a Relic or Legendary Neck item. I realize that the Necklace makes for a weak amount of total spell damage for a big collector, but for a person with 1-2 URs, this item will give them a good punch in offensive capabilities as well as some cool options (like attacking and then throwing Invisibility).

It is always difficult to make a mix of tokens for a wide array of players, and I appreciate your perspectives on getting that done.

This makes sense. It is a little less interesting of an item, but a good item for a new player. Maybe change the text to cast as scroll, so it can benefit from the handful of scroll boosters like the 2021 Robe of the Sage. I think this would be inline of making it more suitable for new players while still allowing some stacking of items.

Edit: I see that Tokendb already says "cast as a scroll” for Bracelets of the Zephyr, so I guess it would work this way anyway. I would still consider changing the text to make it more clear for new players.

Thanks for your feedback. I am going to keep the Necklace of the Zephyr as is -- but drop the 1/room restriction.

I think this is a fine change, and great option for Bard who hasn’t worked up to Widseths. They have a number of useful buffs that can be used without dropping a song. Cleric may find it useful as a discount sacred necklace as well, though it’s probably for a build that prefers physically attacking.

Druid and wizards… probably not so much value at NM+. So I couldn’t recommend it to most players who want to reach the higher difficulties, but it does look fun to play with.

I like the change to Zephyr. I'm not going to get it, I've got Ashenne's and the Sacred Necklace, but if I didn't have those tokens I'd probably grab it now for myself.

Thanks for dealing with the high tensions and emotions token development always brings. It's appreciated.

It's sometimes hard for me to turn the clock back 10 years, but yeah, I can see where some of these tokens could be very useful for someone early in their build development.

"Cast as scroll" doesn't let the spell get the benefit of scroll boosters, unfortunately. It's very confusing wording that, from what I can tell, pre-dates the availability of any tokens that boosted scrolls.

I know this is a hard balance because I assume TEs get a lot of orders. I think a multi-year alternative to the CoA would go a long way though to counteracting this, if we all end up collecting the new TEs so we can make the CoA2 when it is available.

See, we can agree on some things. I think a cap is a good idea as well.

I think 28 would be a good cap, assuming CoA2 winds up being +11 total. That'd let you hit the cap with CoA + CoA2 + level. And several other combinations making use of individual components and nuggets.

How will this token interact with other tokens that give free spells? For instance, the arcane set bonus lets me cast a level 1 spell without marking it off my card. Could that spell by cast as a free action as well using this token? That kind of synergy could make it pretty strong. Not unreasonably strong, but it opens up some interesting possibilities.

On that note, does unmodded mean that spells cast with it don't benefit from skill checks?

I like 30 it's a nice round number...LOL!

Does Zephyr allow for skill checks, or does no mods mean no skill checks?

If it allows skill checks, it would very nicely pair with Ring of the Savant. Might be nice to have the 2 URs synergize like that.

The Bead is fine at +2 pulls. TPTB can make any future TE transmute recipe whatever they like regardless of how many pulls the Bead provides. For those of you that think it should be +3 pulls will you buy any less Beads at the current +2 pulls? If the answer is no then the Bead is totally fine.

The new wording is much less confusing than "Cast as a Scroll, but don't get any scroll boosting benefits". :)

If that is your reasoning, you likely could make the same argument to say they should be +1 instead.
