Thanks to your feedback, we have dropped the recipe value quite a bit. Please see the link to the PDF for exact details.

Also, I think we are far enough along to spend the energy on roughly staking out the cost of the various Safehold tokens. These are our thoughts on what the costs should be, but this is all somewhat nebulous and hard to define. Markets can be tricky things to guess, so I am going to make a best guess and see what happens. We are reserving the right to change recipes every year, so tweaks can be made as we go along.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The final cost of higher up Safehold tokens won't be finalized for a few years in some cases, but this PDF chart is presented to give you a sense of our guess at the value of the recipes.

The big unknown here is the vast amount of Trade tokens that are sitting on buckets in the closets of collectors all over the world. Many folks don't want to make Relics and Legendaries, so they have been stockpiling Trade tokens for years waiting for something new to come out. Add in the extra treasure for all those VTD runs int he next few years, and things get kind of murky.

Hopefully, the promise of cool new stuff will get the hoarders to take the plunge. That could effect values (both ways) so it will be interesting to see how the vast untapped Trade token reserves will effect things.

Please make it clear in your feedback whether you are talking about the Safehold V recipes -- or the other projected costs. Thank you for your help.

Jeff, thank you for sharing this. This is the kind of rough road map I was hoping to see.

If the numbers representative in the chart are actual dollar value I think they all look reasonable to me personally and I'm also good with the current recipes. Thanks much Jeff for the visibility!

The one thing I'd ask is if the Mythic Girdle would require the legendary, if it doesn't there could be some concern there with Mythics being cheaper or equal to craft than the legendary they replace. Same for CoA.

The trick is... by witholding the recipes for the higher levels, you may actually wind up encouraging people to continue to hoard trade goods since they won't know what they may need.

I’d disagree about the stockpiling of trade goods. The fact that TD ran out of maps this year and will likely see even more transmuted this year is where a lot of those trade goods are going. From here forward, we’ll see whether maps substantially slow down to stock up for this or if they keep going at a normal pace.
What do we want? Evidence based science! When do we want it? After peer review!

I disagree. Gacha is only fun for some amount…not the entire horde

The rough dollar amounts for the Mythic 2s wouldn't make any sense if a legendary was part of the recipe as the legendary (using the same system) would be the entire cost of the Mythic 2, making Mythic 2s essentially free.

Could have a recipe where legendary acts like a relic currently does and add a 1000 on top of that and 2000 on top of the legendary for Mythic 1s. Could have two recipes, one with legendary, one without. It's all years off, but those rough numbers make it seem like Mythic stuff is pretty effortless to make for highest end of the playerbase.

I might be missing something, apologies if I am. Are the prices for the Safeholds along the way cumulative? Will the estimated price for a Safehold IV be 400 plus Safehold V, or is the cost tied to the Safehold V counted within the 400?

Thanks,

So this means to get safe hold it will cost 2,000 units of trade goods ? And from safehold V to I will cost 3,750 units of trade goods ?

I think the forecast transmute costs for Mythics look good.

TL;DR - It appears to me a Mythic will be 3x the recipe of a Legendary, which is roughly the amount of trade goods in an $8k order.

--

Setting aside the cost to build your Safehold 1 (3000 "units")*.

Having Mythic 1's cost 2000 units, 10x the 200 unit cost of a Safehold V Under Construction + Safehold V costs seems very reasonable to me.

That would suggest a cost in the realm of:

480 Trade 1 tokens

(E.g. ten times the trade 1 tokens to get a Safehold I: 20x AI, 80x AP, 120x DP, 20x DS, 20x EM, 20x MH, 120x MS, 80x PS)

50 Trade 2 tokens

(E.g. ten times the trade 2 tokens to get a Safehold I: 10x AG, 20x EB, 20x OE)

20x GF and 20,000 GP (I would guess the GF will be less and the GP will be more in the actual recipe).

Compare this with Luna's Greater Charm Bracelets which took:

1 Relic
2 URs
153 Trade 1 Tokens
7 Trade 2 Tokens
2 GF and 40,000 GP

And it seems like a Mythic will be roughly 3x the cost of a Legendary.

An 8k order comes with:

515 Trade 1 tokens
36 Trade 2 tokens
44,000 GP

So it seems that a Mythic will be roughly the trade goods from an 8k order (Plus some fleece)

* I'm sure people will have different takes on this - you get to craft 5 Mythic 1's and 5 Mythic 2's with one safehold, so in one sense it adds ~300 "units" to each Mythic you craft; on the other hand you could look at is as your first Mythic 1 costs 5,000 units - which is around the amount of trade goods in ~$20k of condensed orders.
