I would rather to see a small bump to what was proposed and persevere the current system which seems to be working.

If someone is going to take their time so I can have an awesome weekend of gaming they should be rewarded. 😀

Just like my post said, and just like we saw with champions choice, the value isn’t going to last. By Gen Con they will be down to 250ish, and by December they won’t even be selling for 200. If there was a transmute, they would be in demand in 2 separate ways - one to directly use, and one to transmute. That would sustain the value the whole year, and vols that vol enough to create the relic would be able to transmute it and sell it if the price did drop mid year.

The game survived many years without $300 UR tokens lol

I’d be happy with earcuff rather than ring for the psychic transmute. Much less competition than rings for newer players.

I like that both sets can be combined into something fun, but would like to see the transmutes have something for new and old alike.

I think the +1 to ability or 2 Treasure for the charm, and unlocks tier 6 or +1 use if you already have psychic for the relic would let them have some flexibility and be cool for any player as we all will want to do the new adventures and work toward something cool like this year with the orb.

On the volunteer tokens. Personally they would not motivate me to volunteer if it was part of why I was volunteering.

I would not be using either in my build. Because bead is already full, ears have orbits and icecrags, many others are using orbits and arcane Earcuff
So I don’t see anyone other than collectors buying from volunteers, and if a volunteer doesn’t play it may be a hard token to sell.
Neither are bad tokens, they just not special enough to move the needle

Honest question, do you see the proposed volunteer tokens going for $300+?

Not at all. I don’t think outside of collectors they will see much use. I don’t think there would be a market for them as they are currently proposed.

Then why are you opposed to a different proposal that might bring more value to volunteers?

If the intent is to have $300+ reward tokens for volunteers then they need to have a volunteer relic from now on. The overpower URs cannot continue indefinitely.

+1. We don't need power creep at the UR level just so a volunteer can sell their UR on the secondary market for $300.

Years ago there were no volunteer Tokens at all. Hopefully the deciding factor for volunteers isn't the amount of money they can expect to sell a Token for. If volunteers feel like they need more money to make it worth their while then mention it to TD and see if they can raise the stipend.

Then hopefully TD can give us vols especially repeat vols some other incentive. As a player i don't necessarily want to see more OP URs. On the other hand i want something that i can use in a UR build (not comparing to BiS) or something i can trade off for other tokens. Go to a point/store credit system maybe.

I vol because I love the game but it is a time and energy commitment. VTD wknds add up far as days and hours spent. I adore it and players bring smile to my face but the incentives token and stipend help justify the time i spend on volunteering. Gen con is big one it's because it's vacation/days off and a big commitment.

My goal isn't really to make money but i (and other vols for sure) want to make sure we get some value/shown hey thanks for giving up our time to help run the game. I nearly walked away entirely the year we had Tanzanite. Felt like an insult/slap in the face that the part time vol rare was functionally identical to the inprint Beryl prism.

Wouldn't mind seeing the vol tokens go into a transmute or even credit towards other transmutes. I like the idea of vol getting credit for Safehole for example.
We're all the kind of people who enjoy the game on a "meta" level. We like talking about the game year-round. We buy tokens. We enjoy crafting. We get together during the off-season if we can. We are a very skewed demographic that way. -Raven
