Amulet of the Asp Goddess could perhaps do with granting a couple more HP, since Amulet of Vigor was printed in 2020 and granted +2 STR and +3 HP.

I really like the new direction of Polymorph, it will open it up to all of the casual crowd who don't own a ready supply of consumables.

Thank you for the adjustments made to Seth's Ring of Shadows, this will be a super exciting token for Rogues to pull from a pack, as a nice extra bonus this will also help avoid newer players feeling disappointed when they enter a room with a ranged-only enemy which would normally blank their character card.
I play Rogue. Occasionally I even play Rogue well.

Jeff Martin wrote: The UR Charm of Trollform has been downgraded to a Rare and thus placed here. Long story...but basically Potions of Polymorph are no more -- and instead replaced by Charms of Polymorph (with a 1/game limit) this year and moving forward. These are designed for newer players and specifically NOT for Legendary Druids.

There have been some nice tweaks here due to great feedback. Thanks.

Thanks, Jeff. I wonder why Potions of Polymorph are being discontinued - maybe they weren't being collected after the combat rounds?

I definitely hope Iktomi's is boosted now, the ability to use Potions of Polymorph without turning them in was one of it's only benefits. That is now negated. Being able to polymorph without consuming a potion was a Druid-only ability, but now that's shared with the Elf Wizard. I had hoped that the Elf Wizard would get a non-polymorph identity in the next character card revision, but having them on this token makes it seem that isn't likely to happen. Once there are 3-4 of these tokens, the Elf Wizard will be able to polymorph in all combat rooms without a consumable just like the Druid can with Iktomi's.

Charm of Trollform's average damage is 9.33. Enchanter's Whetstone bumps this up to 10.33.

In comparison, the Relic Shaman’s Greater Necklace is average 9.5 damage, and the Legendary Iktomi’s Shaper Necklace is average 11. Ouch. At least Trollform is strictly non-magical...?

I don't think Charm of Trollform counts as a weapon that directly interacts with EW.

It's true that if your regular melee mainhand item is a rare weapon, then for that reason EW gives you +1/+1 on the party card (which applies to both regular melee and polymorph), but that's the same whether you polymorph using this Charm, the Druid necklace, or anything else.

Yes, my AC is lower than the Wizard's. No regrets!

Maybe it's time to just do a new Class Legendary token for Druids.

Endgame wrote: Charm of Trollform Damage observations. The damage rankings for Poly Potions are, as far as I know:
Potion Sea Troll (2022): 7.25 average damage
Shark (2011): 8 average damage
Cave bear (2012). 8.33 average damage.

Trollform is 9.33 average. The other other potions lasted for 1 room and used a standard action to drink (with multiple ways to make it a FA). This charm uses a slot and seems to be instant to transform.

Is 9.33 average damage appropriate? 9.33 may be fine, or it may be too much depending on any upcoming druid card changes. Maybe 8(ish) damage would be more appropriate for this year?

Fixed it! Thanks. Lowered damage and changed to AG as it is a Rare weapon.

Hacky wrote: Hi. Completely separate from the discussion of combat viability of Charm of Trollform, I really enjoyed getting polymorph potions and growing a toolbox of things to polymorph into as an Iktomi's-wearing Druid. Potion Polymorph (Shark) is one of my favorites for flavor -- I can give up being optimal for a fight if I can be a shark!

The line "not for legendary druids" is concerning to me. Will Iktomi's druids be able to use this charm, or will we be locked out of future polymorphs if we go this no-potion direction?

Sorry...I meant this won't excite Legendary Druids...but it is usable by ALL classes exactly like a Potion of Polymorph.

Should the Moon Dagger do Darkrift damage as the current Sun Dagger does Sacred damage?

Are slotless potions really a good comparison though if this takes a charm slot? If a charm is worth +2 damage the trollform is right inline with the sea troll from 2022.

Edit: as images may change the damage the amount I am referencing is the 9.33
