TOPIC: Dinner @ St. Elmo's Wednesday Night!

Would love to join after our GT Run. Can we add two for the list please - Brian & Amanda

2 more here please.

So it looks like we are going to go with the four large tables and the full menu. I am going to go early to see if we can get them close together, but am uncertain as to if that will be possible. This also means anyone on the waitlist is in, and we have three additional seats (we have an 8, two 10s, and a 12).

The one question I have is if we should try to pre-organize tables or just show up and hope things happen easily on site. Anyone have thoughts (or experience) on this?

I do not have relevant experience with trying to organize something like this, but I suspect we’ll be ok if we have people self-organize upon arrival. It could be as simple as we fill up tables in order of arrival, or if a group of 2-4 wants to sit with certain other people who haven’t shown up yet, they wait until the rest of their desired table-mates arrive, and anyone else who is around can be seated.

During Gen Con all restaurants are massively busy. The more organized we are going in the better we will be. The poor staff at the restaurant will be running around ragged

I like all of you fine people, and would happily have a meal with any of you. I also realize the same cannot be said of me, so feel free to put me wherever.

After the GT run I'll need to run back and check on my vol staff before I head to the restaurant so I'll be there ASAP. I'm happy to sit with anyone and nerd out so I'll just sit at any table that has an open chair. Don't worry, I'll hurry!

I am happy to sit with anyone of course as I will be meeting many for the first time. If it helps with the planning I am in the late GT run that starts at 7:36

The Brian who is my +1 is on the 7:24 Darkhold Keep GT run, so he’ll get out at 9:24 (plus Epilogue and walking over to the restaurant). I sadly don’t have a GT this year. (If we’re lucky enough to get one, we alternate who gets to use it.) We would prefer to sit together.

I know there are a few in a similar boat where they may be on a run but will want to dine with others that aren't. I feel like I'd either suggest a GT-like sign up where we list the four tables and people can post or PM me to sign up for each or try to let it fall out organically on Wednesday. Part of me does think it would be easier for us and the restaurant to manage if we are able to name each of the reservations, but I do worry that not everyone will look at the post and respond.
