I've had this idea for years.

Vikings are the perfect (maybe 2nd to Dwarves) choice for this token.

Although the Flute is pretty terrible for actual play, I'd almost always choose the Pixie Lyre over it. Maybe give up the +1 to hit with the axe and give the party +1 or +2 damage?

Ioun Stone Fool's Gold Nugget: +1 Treasure Pull, either like the other Rares, i.e. no mixing except with the blue boosters, or able to mix with other TE but at the cost of all your Ioun Stone slots (with expanders/retractors, would it be better to say equip no other Ioun Stones, or uses 5 Ioun Stone slots?)
Treasure of the Thirteen: Offhand +1 Treasure Pull, you may not equip more than 13 tokens total

Ioun Stone Phoenix Nugget: -10 HP at start, turn in to prevent death & return to full health
Ioun Stone Spicy Dragon Nugget: +1 Fire Damage to Ranged Attacks, turn in to suffer 8 Fire Damage and deal 16 Fire Damage to 1 monster or 8 Fire Damage to all monsters

Bear Arms: Barbarian/Druid Hands +2 Strength, Can only use thrown ranged weapons, counts as 2 handed melee weapon 0-1-2-4-6-8-10-13

If party takes Eldritch puzzle damage the pants become charged; as a free action discharge charged pants to deal 5 (or 3) points of Eldritch damage to a single target (1/game).

Maybe this should be a Figurine or a Belt instead?

At some point TD needs to print the Battle Axe (bard weapon/instrument token), but I would prefer it be a UR. It feels too cool to be just a rare weapon.

For the theme, I think a Viking War Horn would be on point for a bard instrument, it has the appropriately gritty feel.

There are so many choices for thematic polymorphs! I came up with three at rare level:
Dire Wolf: 2 cold damage resistance while polymorphed
Draugar: Immune to being poisoned while polymorphed (druid can still take poison damage but is immune to the condition)
Valkyrie: Does Sacred damage (similar to sun dagger/sun scimitar)

I like Endgame's idea of a "Raider's" set, but to keep with the gritty viking theme would likely avoid 2 handed swords and axes as they feel too modern (later medieval period). I would go with a two handed spear instead.

But I remember last year there was talk that future melee weapons would be more powerful. Do we have a good example damage wheel for what TD is aiming for this year?

I think the intention is that UR+ weapons will be more powerful. My guess, though never stated by TPB, is that Enchanter's Whetstone is eating into UR weapon sales so they wanted to adjust UR weapons.

You know, I've supported and even helped push the Enchanter's Whetstone ate +2 weapons' lunch narrative for a while. But TDA has direct PYP data that we don't. I can't help but wonder if there's been a general long-term decline in PYP sales for +2 weapons and the Whetstone was part of a longer-term play to transition into more powerful UR weapons.
