Sorry! My bad! To "BQ" means to qualify for the Boston Marathon. That would be a great accomplishment! Right now I would need a 3:30 marathon for my age group, but next year the requirement drops to 3:25! Yikes!

Right knee being incredibly annoying. Today is an off day, though, and I have PT, so hopefully we can keep it in check.

Last night did a 5 mile run, working the hills hard, finished about 39:20.

Saturday I did my long run, 8.5 miles in 1:06.

Sunday was the Santa Monica Classic 10K race - I ran a pretty steady and quick pace, averaged 7:08 minutes per mile. Finished in 44:19, and was in the too 100 finishers (83rd)! Psyched!

Yesterday did a 6 mile hill workout in 48:07. PT today, but knee feeling better.

Brian - I am very impressed by the way you re sticking to this.

If it was me (assuming I had the initiative and got into physical shape to run a marathon) I would be all gung-ho for the first half year, stilll dabbling with it a bit by the end of the year, and have dropped it in favour of some other shiny hobby or activity the next year.

Way to go!

Got a late start last night - I was trying to get the computer and the printer to talk to each other wirelessly, like they used to, but I rolled a 1 on my tech skills check and failed. Might have to reinstall the printer software.

Anyhoo, b/c of the late start, I passed on the speedwork and ran 5 miles in 39:55, barely under 8:00 minutes per mile. Interesting to run after sunset - different views, different crowds. Felt pretty good!

Hey, I am going to do the Orc Stomp 5K fun run during GenCon. The tickets were sold out, but I asked the guy running the event if I could run one day if I volunteered for the other day (It's held on both Thursday and Friday mornings). Should be fun! Anyone want to join us?

Cody and I are signed up for Friday morning. He hasn't decided if he's walking or running yet, I'm hoping to run most of it.

4.25 miles last night, including one hill, 7:52 minutes per mile. Hip/knee starting to feel better! Yay!

Let me know if you do go to Boston. I am about an hour north and would love to take you to dinner or hook up for to geek my wife out and trade TD tales.

If you are brave, I can even take you to my brother's Kettlebell and Crossfit gym in Dover, NH.
