Sooooooo - here we go again. I am raising funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society through Team In Training. I will be running in the Disneyland Half Marathon in September, and then trying to qualify for the Boston Marathon by running the Long Beach Marathon in September. My goal is $2000, although I would really like to shatter that goal like a Sonic Balst would shatter a crystal golem. I am running in honor of my friend Jake, my Auntie Kathie, and my Dad, who I miss more and more every day.

Please go to my website and make a donation to help the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society find a cure! A forumite made the first donation already! Hoody hoo!

Thank you so much for your support!

Is it possible for me to change the title of this thread to "Training for the Disneyland Half Marathon?"

Yes, go edit the original post, and you can edit the title there. You will also want to change the title on your next post in the thread.

Man, today shows why I'd rather run in cold rain than warm sun. Hot! I did 6 miles in 45:16, 4 minutes warm-up/4 minutes cool-down, 6 X 3 minutes at sub-5K pace (under 7 minutes per mile) with 3 minutes recovery run (just under 8 minutes per mile). Felt good, but tired!

Did a quick 5 mile run Saturday, then a slower 4.65 mile run yesterday (with TNT we have to do run/walk intervals b/c the training programs is geared primarily to beginners). Cutback week to get some rest.

Yesterday was supposed to be a midweek run for the team, but no one else showed up. I ran on my own, doing 5.25 miles in 40:58, about a minute faster than an 8:00 minutes per mile pace. Felt good to stretch my legs. Glad I have PT this afternnon to help me recover!

TNT training run today, so I had to stay at a slower pace and do run/walk intervals. Did 5.5 miles in 52:05.

Had to skip Tuesday's run b/c of a migraine, but was able to make it up yesterday. Did 6 miles in 47:15, under 8:00 minutes per mile - felt good to get out and run!

7 Miles in 56:07 yesterday at Griffith Park (8:01 minutes per miles) - good ankle workout, b/c a couple miles in the middle were in soft sand.

Today I did 8 miles along the beach path n 1:02:47 (about 7:50 minutes per mile). Feeling good!

Six miles last night, average just below 8 minute mils, but first was about 8:20, and last was about 7:40, so I steadily increased my pace. Really pushed the pace on the hills as I ran.
