Thursday night was interval workout: warm-up, 2 X 20 minutes at 5K pace (varied from about 6:45 per mile to 7:30 per mile) with 5 minute recovery, then cool-down.

Yesterday I did 22 miles at a little more than MRP b/c I was running with Team in Training (I missed my regular Sat morning run), and they do 9:1 run/walk intervals. Just want to say, "Ow."

Forgot to post that last night I did a hill workout that was a little over 5.5 miles in 45 minutes.

Whew! Now I feel like I am in taper mode! This was the final interval workout - 40 minutes at 5K pace, with a warm-up and cool-down. Kept the pace between 7:00-7:15 minutes per mile, but I pushed the last mile a little and was just under 7:00!

Thanks! About 7 miles yesterday at over MRP, due to not knowing the area and mud/wet conditions.

Today I did 12 miles well under MRP - I stayed on roads and sidewalks and ran along the Seattle waterfront, so it was much easier. Beautiful, too!

Great place to run, I love the waterfront... always go there when I'm up in Seattle.

Very nice, consistent running... keep it up!

Tonight's run - 6 miles in 49:15 - first mile at MRP, then each mile was faster than the previous one - last mile was under 8:00 minutes per miles! Hoody hoo!

Didn't get the chance to post my latest runs, but they aren't too huge because I am in taper mode.

Tuesday - 4 miles - 31:16
Wednesday - 4 miles - 32:45
Thursday - 4 miles - 33:20

8 Miles tomorrow - about one week to go!

Okay, a bit of a fun run today, the last training run with the Roadrunners before the marathon - a week from tomorrow!

7.75 miles in 1:04:35. We stopped at mile 2 for a group photo. Stayed right on MRP.

Nice easy 5 today, including a little run with my TNT teammates. Less than a week to go - getting nervous and excited!

So if anyone would like to see how I am doing during the Honda LA Marathon on Sunday, you can sign up to receive texts or (I think) emails that will track where I am on the course. As I pass certain points (I think it's at 10K, 20, 30, and then the finish), texts will be sent out to those who register at the following site:

www.lamarathon.com/runner-info/race-day-tracking/

Several people "followed" me last year, and it was really motivating!
